B52 Random Vehicles


This mod will spawn random vehicles on any map. Vehicles are spawned just after initialization of the server/single player game. Currently this is only set up to work with civilian vehicles but I hope to expand this to work with all 3rd party vehicle content you might have.

For Mission Makers:
Drag the B52 Core system module and B52 Random Vehicle module onto any map. There are currently only 3 settings in the module, "# per Town", "Show Markers" and "Add Loot". The "# per Town" setting will set a cap on the number of vehicles allowed to spawn within a given area. I do not recommend setting this to a large value. Anything less than 5 should work well. "Add Loot" will spawn random items inside each vehicle. This will be more flexible in the future but for now should spawn random items, clothes and backpacks.

If you plan on spawning more than 150 vehicles then I recommend using ZBE Cache.

With ZBE Cache I was able to get 850 vehicles on Tanoa and still have a playable framerate. Depending on the server/your computer this can vary.

To install B52 Random Vehicles you should use modfolders to keep it seperate from the official game content to prevent issues.
With Arma 3 you can use different ways to set up your modfolders to use custom content you have downloaded.

Known issues:
- Some vehicles will blow up when they spawn even if damage is disabled. This is due to the vehicles spawning on/in objects on the map. I should have this updated in the next few updates.

Future plans:
- Option to customize loot spawned within vehicles
- Ability to select which types of vehicles to spawn. Ex: Military, Civ, Boats etc.

- General bug fixes and performance improvements

- Add 4 options to control type of loot spawned within vehicles. [Item, Clothing, Weapon, Backpacks and Vests]

- Removed Arma 3 requirement for B52 Core. B52 Core will still be required but will be managed through the workshop going forward.

- Fixed associations with B52 Core
- B52 Core module will be required when using B52 Random Vehicles module going forward

- Added option to spawn vehicles with random fuel. Also includes maximum fuel amount. Again like vehicle damage setting this value higher than 100 will increase the chance of a vehicle having a full tank.

- Added ability to spawn vehicles with/without damage. Damage is applied to random hitpoints on the vehicle. "Damage Chance" and "Max Damage" values should be set with values between 1 and 100. Setting "Max Damage" to a value higher than 100 increases the chance that that hitpoint will be completely destroyed. Ex: setting to 1000 will give approximately a 90% chance that each hitpoint will be completely destroyed.
