LM 360 Rotation Static Weapons


Removes the horizontal rotation limit on the following static weapons:

◦ Mk30 HMG .50
◦ Mk32 GMG 20 mm
◦ Static Titan Launcher (AA)
◦ Static Titan Launcher (AT)

For the HMG and GMG this only changes the low mounted version, as the raised ones already allowed 360 rotation.

This also affects the really cool but underused autonomous variants of the HMG/GMG which NATO has.

The reasoning behind this mod was simple - ArmA was simulating the traversal limits certain real tripod mounted weapons have, however it did not simulate the soldiers ability to manhandle the tripod to face a new direction quickly should they need to. To my mind this made the static weapons less flexible and effective than they would be in reality. This is also great for missions that have you deploying static turrets for the AI as now there is less need to mess about setting their facing.

Also if you want to use this in multiplayer remember the mod will need to be loaded on the server.

To install LM 360 Rotation Static Weapons you should use modfolders to keep it seperate from the official game content to prevent issues.
With Arma 3 you can use different ways to set up your modfolders to use custom content you have downloaded.
