PCW Mod Demo

Description:
The Colonial Wars Mod is inspired on real Portuguese colonial war that occurred in Guinea during the 1960s.
This mod gives an agreeable change of scenery from usual "US vs Rest of World" confrontation, and even if this mod is still in beta stage and since has several bugs, it is very very promising, their authors had a lot of excellent and innovative ideas!

Some notes about the terrain:


Rope Bridge

The Rope bridge works almost fine and AI crosses it but the soldiers must cross it one by one.
There are still some bugs to correct in the model that causes the fall of the soldiers in one of the tops.
This bug will be corrected in our next release.

River Crossings

Be aware:the water level changes depending on the time of day and the month. There are times that is impossible to cross the rivers.
There are two crossable rivers in Guinea Como and AI recognizes them. If anyone wants to create battle situations in this areas
better use Select This Script. It will keep the soldiers Up while they stay inside the rivers crossings.
Select This script can be found in Colonial Wars demo (scripts folder).

Features:
It features a new GUI layer, 4 different troops: Portuguese Greenberets, Fula Guide, Guinean Independance Movement and African Civilians, with around 20 new weapons (btw African Civilians are trowings rocks). A lot of objects/bunkers, 2 vehicles, 1 boat, 1 helicopter and a nice Guinea Como Island are also added.

Installation:
To install Portuguese Colonial Wars Mod Demo

- Extract the zip file to
Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\ARMA Cold War Assault for ARMA CWA v1.99 (steam)
or
Program Files\Codemasters\Operation Flashpoint for Operation Flashpoint Resistance v1.96 (CD)


- Place the PCW MOD shortcut in your Desktop;

Colonial Was has no exe so you must use the shortcut to start the MoD

If using steam v1.99 ARMA CWA, change the path and target in the shortcut to the CWA .exe or go to the library listing in your steam games, select ARMA Cold War Assault, right click, select "properties", select "set launch options", and input:
-nomap -mod=Pcw_mod

then close recently opened windows and launch the game.

Notes:
-This mod will create a folder named "PCW_MOD" in you operation flashpoint
instalation. It contains all the configuration and addon files needed to work properly.
We recommend not to modify or delete this files. We've binarize all the addons to reduce the Demo size to half.
If any addonmaker ask us we will provide the MLOD format files.
