Ouch. Nasty specs. Not to worry
I'm gonna upgrade my ram, and get a Nvidia GeForce GTX 295
Because frankly i have a Nvidia 8800gt 256mb.. and it JUST runs Arma 1 lmao.
Great news,Nvidia Geforce 8800GT with what mentioned will run it, so we will buy the new system based on this info and we will save lot of money:)
SO ARMA2 is so friands with AMD CPU?
ANYHOW, Let's OC INTEL CORE2 to 3G, even to 4G.
10 GB is not that bad my Arma 1 folder is up to 13.7 and that's after I cleaned up unused mods. Thank god for yoma ;-)
I have Intel Core2 6600 @2.4 (not overclocked....yet), 2GB RAM and 1 8800GTX, I can play Arma1 with all setting max and AA and AF high without problems. I get like 30 - 60 FPS (limitted due to Vsync). But thats only in Team vs Team matches with between 50 - 100+ players, lots of vehicles and lots of action.
However, I dont think I will be able to run Arma 2 as how I want to, recommended specs are often too low as well so I guess after Arma 2 we just read what others report about their system and how it performes than check some hardware sites to know whats coming (price/performance related) and than we upgrade
I have above the recommended specs for ArmA 2, but I can't play arma 1 all on highest even with AA turned off, so I play arma 1 on normal exept AA off and 1680x1050.
As Dev said above, I'm also above the recommended specs of ARMA2, but I still don't have good FPS in ARMA1, especially if FRAPS is on.
ARMA1+ACE+Soundmod ~ 10GB
ARMA2 = 10GB = HELL :yes
Looking good as according to this i dont need to upgrade, but when i start playing im sure im gonna notice that i do need an upgrade. Im way above ARMA1 and above ARMA2 recommended. That doesnt mean much though in ARMA1 at least. I have to play ARMA1 at normal with some settings at high and 1024x768 on a 21" screen making it look kinda crappy with that res on such a big screen even with high AA.

Hopefully ARMA2 is more optimized however, but recommended rarely meant all out if we look at gaming history. It doesnt mean you can go max but be around normal with some settings at high. For high/very high you will most definatelly need WAY above those specs. However thats just a qualified guess based on many games played. Well know when we installed it. Cannot wait for that! :love
Dont want to be negative here hehe. Like i said - looking good.
great, mines well above the recommended
Sweet!! I fit right into the recommended requirements!!
YaY!!! I'm above recommended!!! Damn I was concerned that A2 will need monstrorious PC but mine 1 year old box is above...now I am 100 and 1 percent sure I will buy A2!
:no 10 GB!!!!!
Allllright Thank You!!
