The only thing I could do with the 0.6.0.0 release was setting my arma executable. There were no mods listet and no way to add them. Whatever i clicked, caused an error of the program. Is there any help available? The help button doesn't provide help.
Sorry to hear that you're having trouble. I have tested it on multiple machines to ensure that it works correctly, so I'm not sure what the problem might be.
I've updated to version 0.6.1.0, you can find the link in the BI forums. I found something that may solve your problem. If not, we'll have to keep investigating.
.NET unhandled exception error after selecting arma2 executable.. Win7 x64 Ultimate, I shot you a PM with the error details. hope they help, I'm was relly looking forward to this too, it looks like an awesome way to manage all of the loose mods i have rather than slapping them all in a folder and starting all of them blindly
this is by far the best launcher for single player - still relying on yoma's work for servers.
What I would like to see, is list the servers mods and what keys are accepted (if this is possible.) then let me click on the mods in that list I want. Not a total sync like Yoma's but more of a manual one. Now, I have to toggle back and forth to server view to mods.
Is this really much better than the modfolder/shortcut -mod command system? I'm so badly used to that one I just don't want to give it up for a good reason
It basically is that same system, but it's automated in a way, so you don't do the typing. It's all drag and drop. And you can activate/deactivate mods with the click of a mouse rather than re-writing the -mod parameters or rearranging folders.
works well with steam.. only problem is now my game wont start either way. i am hoping to solve this by re-instaling. all in all good work.. i like the updater also.
This launcher is excellent! A functional and easy to use utility that is obviously built by an ArmA enthusiast who knows exactly what we need. Most importantly for me it works with the separate Steam versions of ArmA II and ArmA II:OA in Combined Operations mode and even loads the correct .exe file (OA in this case). I can't thank you enough. Well actually I can - donation sent!
wow i love this launcher ^^ nice i can idd make groups like modules unit packs iselands extras etc etc drag and drop it to sorten the mod folders out and select only what i need to play with, very nice best launcher so far for me 5 stars
Description:
There are some features that I have found are missing from the current game launchers, so I've decided to create my own.
The main feature that I've implemented is the ability to create your own 'groups' of addons. For example, you want to group together all the map addons, weapons, effects, and so on. Create a group, name it however you want, then drag & drop the appropriate addons into your group.
This launcher is compatible with Operation Arrowhead.
Installation:
Run the msi installer.
Note for version 1.2.0:
My apologies to those of you who have your settings just the way you like them. Due to the re-structuring of the way files are saved and loaded, it is not possible to transfer old profiles over to this new version.
Project Tracker:
This program has been tested using all combinations of ArmA II / OA, beta versions, etc with success (Both purchased via Steam). However, with so many changes there are sure to be bugs. Please report any bugs you find either here or the project tracker If you do report a bug, please try to give steps to reproduce the problem. Thank you.
