Snake Man - Vietnam: The Experience

Thanks to Sickboy for sharing Play With Six lockdown launcher with us, I would have announced this first but was under the impression it was private info on private chat, apparently I was mistaken!

Basically by using this utility you get an Updater, Launcher and ServerBrowser specialized for Vietnam: The Experience. Several elements and unrelated content are either removed or hidden.

It is a basic bootstrapper program that Installs Play withSIX and pre-requisites when missing, and launches Play withSIX in lockdown mode on the desired mod.

If you like, you still have access to the full Play withSIX experience, simply by launching it instead of the bootstrapper.

Both the bootstrapper and the lockdown mode are still early versions and both will be much improved coming time. Expect improvements and more variants popping up for more mods coming time :)

TigerForce - Operation FrenchPoint

We had promised a few days ago, version 3.2 of the mod OFrP is finally available.

Last update of the mod dated from December 2011, he took us a long time to offer this new version, in part because of some internal and private problems, and it was not easy to overcome.

To function properly, this new version needs ArmA2 + Operation Arrowhead.
However, you can use it even if you only have Operation Arrowhead, only Warfare buildings can be problematic.

Special forces are featured in this update, with new soldiers COS and adding CPA units.
Also present an operational skydiver and a unit of 13th RDP.

You will find, of course, new weapons and new vehicles.

You were a lot waiting for the aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle and is also available. It is not controllable unfortunately the ArmA engine does not do it properly.
With more than 60,000 polygons, a single LOD configuration, split into several parts, it is the heaviest of the addon mod. The configuration did not leave us much choice, it is not so easy to make a large object in ArmA 2.

Visit the downloads area for ArmA 2, you'll find a version of AIO (All In One), compressed in 7z format about 1.15Go.
Separate files will also be online soon for those who can not download large files at once.

We hope you enjoy this mod OFrP as much as we enjoyed building it, much as we love to share.

We thank the following teams for their help, their feedback and suggestions.

This release of OFrP is done now in a climate somewhat tense, since some people permit themselves to modify and distract our work, despite terms of use yet clear, these people continue to do what they wish with the greatest of contempt.
We especially found this week a modified version of the beta version of the mod, which has yet been given only a few people. This version "hack" is intended to be used with the ACE mod, and also in ArmA 3.

We do not allow any changes to our model, for any reason, and we do not allow any port to ArmA 3.
A minimum of respect, is that asking too much ?

By downloading and using the mod OFrP, you accept the terms of use that accompany it.
These conditions are also available online here: OFrP License

Terms of Use (E.U.L.A.) :
The add-ons OFrP were created entirely by the authors (including textures) and thus are the exclusive property of the authors.

Available only for the game ArmA 2 CO, you are not allowed to use them in a game or other software, present or future.

You are not allowed to decompile OFrP add-ons to extract the contents.
You are not authorized to modify the OFrP add-ons, or to integrate it with any mod.
You're not allowed to use the OFrP add-ons for military purposes or other non-recreational use. Therefore, the import of these add-ons to VBS2, or any other similar software is prohibited.

The mod OFrP (version ArmA 2) was created for the game ArmA 2/Operation Arrowhead, and only for this one, you are not authorized to modify or adapt the mod for ArmA 3.
No wild portage to ArmA 3 is therefore not allowed: this is our decision, as well as the refusal to port the mod in ACE and we want, in exchange for what we give to the community, at least that it respects our positions.

By downloading the mod, you submit to the EULA, and any non-compliance with previous rules, you may be subject to prosecution.

Hello everyone,

First of all we are pleased to announce that the release of version 3.2 of the OFrP mod, will be available in few days.
But the purpose of this ad is not to talk about the impending release of OFrP...

After several days of discussing, we decided to make some internal changes, especially with regard to our policy of communication and sharing.

Also we regret to announce to our members that the forum OFrP will soon close its doors a few days after the 3.2 release of the mod, and new registration will certainly not be possible in the future.

We are obliged to change direction and method of work, we are sorry to not be able to give you more explanation.
OFrP website will again become a tool for us, it is what it was originally.

If you want to join us, we invite you to visit and register, if you have not already done so, on the community portal ArmA3.fr / Cfr-ArmA.

The section of OFrP forum which includes the missions will remain visible a couple of weeks before disappearing also, we advise you again to go through the community portal in the future.
i've been searching answers for a while now, i found out that there are other people with this same problem. most of them found a solution, and i have been trying those solutions but non of them worked. i tried re-installing ace, same problem. arma can only launch when ace is activated in six. i've also tried using other mods to open arma but they say the same error. also tried to launch with only OA but still the same results.

GunnerExurkun - ACE Mod for Operation Arrowhead / CO

Hi there I'm new to the whole ARMA thing and what not, I recently have gotten into ACE I have all of the full expansions bar Army of the Czech Republic. I am currently experiencing problems with 2 things, 1. I can carry backpacks but i cannot place any items into them or access them and on my inventory screen I don't have the pack/unpack tab now I tried changing the user config file as I saw on YouTube but it didn't fix the problem. 2. My second problem is my interaction menu, I can place masks and whatnot on that one is fine the other interaction menu however does not even register I don't have a second Windows key but I changed it in game and am still having problems it is there as it has appeared once or twice but for some reason it does not work for the majority of the time.

Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated.

telferg - ACE Mod for Operation Arrowhead / CO

Hey guys, i have been reading this thread all week and i have tried numerous times to sort my ACE 2 out. The issue i am having is the well known one where the Right Windows key does not work as the Interaction Key. I can obviously change this in game which i have done but it will not work with any keybind. The self Interaction menu works for me.
I have used various tutorials on the ACE Clippi, opening that, selecting my Profile, leaving it running in background whilst i change keys in game etc. Again none of this has worked.
I am running Steam versions of Arma 2 and OA, i have verified all of the directories and done integrity checks of the files so i dont think i need a full reinstall.
I have used 6 Updater to install the ACE 2 mods and the popular Arma 2 launcher on here to launch in CO with ACE 2 running.
The only thing i have noticed is that when i have tried now to unzip the userconfig from @ACE to Arma 2 OA/userconfig/ace/..., i have been getting windows explorer crashes etc.

I had assumed that by running all the checks within six updater it would fix any corrupt files. Any ideas guys?

Thanks in advance

EDIT: Note that i am having the same issue as Baiken above in post #918...

Added 7 hours 56 minutes later:

Scrub my last post guys, i deleted all userconfig files again, ran 6 updater verification and reset keys.
Now getting the interaction menu using right windows key and self interaction menu also.

Time to try out ACE 2 again

hello guys.I need help in changing some player models skins. In particular i have some replacement packs that when i use them with ace2 only some of the models are being replaced. So i opened for example the config file in acex_ru_c_men_gear and added the line -model = "\msv\m_d"; under the line class RU_Soldier_Medic : RU_Soldier_Base {- in order to change the medic in russia army, and it worked. What im trying to change and here is where i need help is that i cant find the class lines for the insurgents chdkz. So what i ask is this:Is there a file in ace2 addons that has all the men classes?Fyi i've searched in (ace_c_men/ace_c_men_gear/acex_c_men/acex_c_men_gear/acex_ru_c_men)folders but i only found a few of the men classes.

Thank you in advance.

Rick - ACE Mod for Operation Arrowhead / CO

You're going to use ACE CLIPPI to save your keys. You said it's working already so you probably already did this but I'm telling you anyway.
Right click ACE_Clientside and EDIT it using notepad. Enter in your name EXACTLY in the spot where it tells you. Then save the file again. Make sure you don't save it as a .txt file (default for notepad).

This should make the clippi work as well as the glasses, goggles, and balaclavas.
Now start ace clippi from your @ace folder, set up any options you want there such as ball tracers ect.
Now start the game with ace
In your ace options you can choose your keybinds. The most used ones are going to be interaction and self interaction keys. Set it up and click save. ACE CLIPPI should save them to your username. This means if you change your name you'll have to do everything over again.

If you did all this then im not clear on what the issue is.

EDIT:

It might be possible to enter your name directly into ace clippi by opening it up. I seen a bar there with the name in it but I don't know for sure if you can enter your name there instead of editing the file itself.

Baiken - ACE Mod for Operation Arrowhead / CO

OK, I am very new to the ARMA series and computer gaming to begin with, so I could be easily screwing something up on my end but I need some help. (I have looked through a lot of forums and cant find anything)
I have ARMA 2 and ARMA OA. I have downloaded the ACE mod via "Play withsix" and have watched numerous tutorials and read a lot of forums and guides. I have gotten the majority of functions or issues down and solved. HOWEVER, I am running into a lot of issues trying to use the ace settings and many of the functions in there such as throwing grenades underhand and a majority of other functions that are listed in the ace settings in game. I finally figured out and was able to save settings and switch the interaction menu keys and they save and work! But the other keys do not.
When I look in my C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead\@ACE\store\userconfig\ace I have the ace_clietside_config and ace_serverconfig hpp files, but I cannot extract the settings as it tells me it's either an unknown file or damaged. I have NO ace_keys file and have been told that is file I need to use the majority of the features. I have also tried to redownload ace but am having no luck as it does the same thing.
I am SUPER FRUSTRATED and could use any help or advice (again I could be a retard because I am new and just screwing up something simple but please someone let me know what I am doing wrong).
I am having some problems creating a mission that has a HALO insertion at the beginning. I am trying to use the ACE HALO script and started out with the following in the init line of each of the player units:

this addweapon "ACE_ParachutePack"; this setpos [getpos this select 0, getpos this select 1,(getpos this select 2) +1500]; _nil = this spawn {[_this] execvm "\x\ace\addons\sys_eject\jumpout_cord.sqf"; };

The effect was that all of us were in the HALO positions but only the group leader had the capability of pulling the rip cord on a chute. None of the other players had the action available to them and became large lawn darts.

Then I tried the following, just changing the "this" before the calling of the ACE HALO script:

this addweapon "ACE_ParachutePack"; this setpos [getpos this select 0, getpos this select 1,(getpos this select 2) +1500]; _nil = this spawn { sleep 1; this execvm "\x\ace\addons\sys_eject\jumpout_cord.sqf"; };

This had the effect of all of us falling feet first in combat ready position and none of the players having the ability to deploy their chute. I don't pretend to understand the syntax of all of this yet but I am working on it and would appreciate if anyone could first tell me what I need to do or point me in the right direction of how to set up MP HALO jumps with ACE and/or tell me where I went/am going wrong?

I found a new update for Project reality on their main site: http://www.realitymod.com/forum/f380-project-reality-news/118597-project-reality-arma-2-v0-16-beta-patch-released.html
hotfix Changes:
Fixed bulletproof trees on F.A.T.A.
Fixed invisible walls on F.A.T.A. that could also cause graphical artifacts for some.
Improved rock textures on F.A.T.A.

Tip: add -beta to the shortcut to include the beta patch!

The award winning Project Reality Team is proud to announce the official release of the Project Reality: ARMA 2 v0.16 BETA Patch!

The v0.16 patch is primarily a terrain pack that includes 2 custom terrains that are still in BETA and therefore should not be considered complete. The sole purpose of this BETA release is for the PR Team to obtain quality feedback to ensure that we are progressing in the right direction with the development of the new terrains. It does not include any changes which were planned for future PR:ARMA2 versions. Although the terrains may require further tweaking and optimization, we are confident that you will enjoy playing on them and hopefully find yourself engaged in some epic battles.

Thanks to several direct link providers, there are a number of mirrors available to download Project Reality: ARMA 2, including a torrent. You can find all of the download links and information here:

Download The Project Reality: ARMA 2 v0.16 BETA Patch Here!

Please note that there are two different downloads for this release. If you already have Project Reality: ARMA 2 v0.15 BETA installed, you simply need to download and install the v0.15 to v0.16 "Patch". Otherwise, if you have any previous versions, or you do not have Project Reality: ARMA 2 installed at all, you will need to download the v0.16 "Full" installer.

*** ATTENTION ***
It is highly advised you install the hotfix available here. It fixes graphical glitches and bulletproof trees on F.A.T.A.

New Terrains & Features
The following all new custom terrains are included in the Project Reality: ARMA 2 v0.16 BETA Patch release:
Afghan Village - Desert terrain with villages, farmland and strategic river crossings.
F.A.T.A. - Thick vegetation, rugged terrain and dense urban areas.

In addition to these 2 new terrains, we have included some new features that we hope will improve gameplay. An always-on compass ribbon located at the bottom of the screen has been added which should come in handy when calling out bearings during a firefight. Also included on the in-game HUD is a stance indicator, displaying your current stance and whether you are in walk or run mode.

Project Reality: ARMA 2 Mod Support
If you encounter any problems while installing and/or playing PR:ARMA2, please check out the Project Reality Mod Support forum. If your problem has not already been posted by someone else or is not in the above known bug list, please do not hesitate to start a new thread asking for help. We will do everything we can to provide you with a solution, but we can't do anything if you don't ask first!
[RGG] Operation Clean Slate Event
The RGG clan is hosting an event on 2nd March 2013. Check out this post for more details and information. RGG have provided steadfast support for Project Reality and have graciously kept a dedicated PR:ARMA2 server up and running. We would like to thank them for their continued support and dedication to Project Reality.

Project Reality: ARMA 3
As many of you are already aware, the ARMA 3 public alpha will be released on the 5th of March. For more information about the release, read this news post.

As we have previously stated, support for ARMA 3 is the logical progression of Project Reality. Therefore, we have decided to cease development of PR:ARMA2, and focus all our efforts on Project Reality: ARMA 3 (PR:A3).

We will be building PR:A3 from the ground up, initially concentrating on getting the important PvP gameplay elements in place. Other features and assets, such as units and vehicles, will then follow, but until we get our hands on the actual game and establish from BIS what is allowed, we simply cannot provide anymore information. Once the PR Team has a development plan laid out, we will make an announcement with more specific details.

PR:A3 Team Recruitment
The Project Reality Team is actively seeking developers for our PR:A3 team, in particular those with knowledge of modeling, texturing, config files and Oxygen. The more team members we have, the quicker we can get Project Reality: ARMA 3 into the communities hands! If you are skilled and knowledgeable with ARMA development, and would like to join our award winning team, please register on the Project Reality Forums and send a private message to the PR:A3 Project Lead, [R-DEV]epoch.

We hope everyone enjoys the Project Reality: ARMA 2 v0.16 BETA Patch release! Please feel free to join us on our IRC channel or visit our public forums to discuss this and other news. Also, be sure to connect to Project Reality through social media to stay informed and receive up to the minute updates, the occasional leaked bit of information and more! See you on the battlefield!

Added 9 seconds later:

# -=XTRA=-Larsiano :
