hi,like above you have 3 way to use mods:
Game GUI

or mods launcher:

or with comands, armaoa.exe -mod=expansion;@cba;@brg_africa..........

note:
If you use commands or laucher, remove all mods in GUI game expansion (first picture), exit the game and start with commands, or launcher the desires mods.
remember .pbo and .bisign goto in your case c:\program files\Bohemia Interactive\Arma2\@mods\Addons and c:\program files\Bohemia Interactive\Arma2\@mods2\Addons

Well I have no error now, I have one last problem that I need advice on and Foxhound has been getting angry with me lol, which Im sorry for but when I say Im new to this, I am NEW to this. The only problem I am having now is I am currently having a major issue that is more annoying than anything. When I down load them I send them to Jzip to have the file decompressed and Ill send them in to my Arma2/@mods file and then I have to open up Operation arrow head to activate the mods and on OA and regular Arma 2 I enter in properties -mod=@mods and then turn on the game and they work, but when I down load new mods, sometimes, they cancel the other mods I previously downloaded out and they disappear from the game. What am I doing wrong? I tried making a second mod folder to put my new mods in and behind -mod=@mods I add a ; and put in the new folders name, say for example, I make a new folder called @mods2 Ill enter it as -mod=@mods;@mods2 and that doesn't work either. Can someone pleaseeeee help me, Im tiered of clearing them out of my files and re downloading them lol. I also don't understand why I have to open Operation Arrowhead to get ARMA2 Mods to work, I was thinking maybe thats a issue also. Thanks.

Hey Pirin, thanks man, I appreciate it, Foxhound is deffinately annoyed by me by now lol, but I thank you also Foxhound, sorry for the head ache but I really really appreciate the help you gave me along with PFC and Delta. I litterally didnt know what I was doing when I started this, when I did the Scud one a few months ago I did it only one time and my buddy had to show me and I forgot the steps but I have it written down now. Thanks you all and Pirin thanks for the launcher seriously. Thanks for all the help.

If you have Operation Arrowhead and ArmA2 you should always and only run them as Combined Operations to keep things simple. That's what I explained up there. If you're having trouble understanding shortcuts perhaps you might be more comfortable using a launcher?

This ArmA II Launcher is pretty easy to setup and use. Try that since you're having trouble with manual shortcuts. Loading mods is as easy as checking a few boxes with it.

For Combined Ops to work and for ArmA2 content to work in Arrowhead you MUST run the Arrowhead exe and load ArmA2 as a mod. Launchers, the Expansions menu or manual shortcuts as I described above can all do that for you. If it's ArmA2 content and you don't have A2 running, it won't work under Arrowhead.

Ok this is what happened and I got to write this down, I opened operation arrow head and it said enable and it wouldnt work on Operation arrow head, but I put back in regular Arma 2 and it was on and it works, swear. Thanks you all. I really appreciate it. The LAST question I have for future reference, why did I have to open Arrow head to get it to work on Arma 2?
If you're using Operation Arrowhead you need to run that EXE and load ArmA2 as a mod. I'd suggest uninstalling everything and reinstalling it all into C:\CO instead of the super long file paths it defaults to.

Then your Combined Operations startup line would read like this:

C:\CO\arma2oa.exe "-mod=C:\CO;Expansion;ca;@yourOtherMods;@allGoHere" -nosplash -skipintro

You'd replace the @yourOtherMods and @allGoHere parts with whatever custom mods you wanted to add.

The modline looks good to me. Only that last " looks out of place but might be a copy/paste error?
The targetline should read
"C:\Program Files\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA 2\arma2.exe" -mod=cmr_ovaron

Note I removed the " at the end.

In the Target line this is what I have "C:\Program Files\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA 2\arma2.exe" -mod=cmr_ovaron" I am not sure if that is right....

That depends on wether the folder you put that island in is called "cmr_ovaron".
cmr_ovaron should correspond with the folder name.
To explain it easy........your not activating the pbo, you are activating the folder (in which the pbo is).
This means -mod=xxxxxxxxxxx
where the xxxxxx should be equal to the folder name.

Please do not derail the topic, stick to the subject and ask your other questions in other topics which suit those questions. This keeps the forums clear and those who read your topic later do not have to bother with off topic info.

hi, you Read "the FAQ:- How to install and launch addons" for foxhound
you only descompress archive ovaron1.3 .rar or .zip rigth?
'\\?\c:\program files\Bohemia Interactive\Arma2\mods\Add ons\@Ovaron1.3\addons, when you decompress archives also the structure subdirectorys too, dnot need create subdirectorys, but depends of compresed archives and author of addons.
'\\?\c:\program files\Bohemia Interactive\Arma2\mods\Add ons\@Ovaron1.3\addons\readme.txt" In this post the subdirectory repeat, you only need .pob and .bisign c:\program files\Bohemia Interactive\Arma2\mods\Add ons\ <---no make space is "addons", but in this case author of ovaron map compress with subdirectory estructure so dnot need decompress to addons directory only in arma2 directory

see this image and read top of windows, must be the same structure

@navy198523- Either one will work. This is how I do it.

1. Download it from armaholic
2. Use Winzip (or a similar program)
3. Create a folder here (Mine is called @Mods). Inside it create another folder called addons
4. C: Program Files / Bohemia Interactive / ArmA 2
5. Now extract the PBOs to your addons folder inside your @Mods folder.
6. Once you have done that, right click on your arma 2 icon. Go to properties.
7. a small window will open, go down to Target.
8. Add this to the target line " -mod=@Mods". The space in the front is important!

Now when you run your game the mods should be enabled. I hope that makes more sense than the sticky, I remember my confusion when I first tried.

I moved your topic to the correct section and if you than take the time to go through the section you will see many, many topics about how to install addons and mods already exist. There is a lot of info available about it. If you are stuck than ask a specific question, right now you ask how to do what is explained on each and every downloadpage and numerous topics already.

Read the FAQ:
- How to install and launch addons

Read this section:
http://www.armaholic.com/forums.php?m=topics&s=71 (scroll down a bit)

Its no rocketscience at all, it only requires a little of your time reading carefully and trying. Than again, when your stuck let us know where exactly, what you did and what the results were. Than we can help.
All we can do now is just copy/paste the guides we already have and i fail to see the use of that since that info is available already (see the FAQ).

I am new to the sense that I have only messed around with one down load about 4 months ago which was the Nuke Scud, I want to down load more but I don't want to mess anything up and I aslo realize there are different ways to download different things. I just was wondering if someone can please give me the general run down on how to down load maps per say, or new weapons and vehicles. I would greatly appreciate it. I am sorry if I have this article in the wrong topic area also. I usually never get that part right on here. Thank you everyone for your help!!!!!
