Hello,

I am having a hard time figuring out why I paid $40.00 for a game that is supposed to run without a disc on steam, and suddenly changes its mind and wants me to feed it a shiney disc. It truely is becoming a pain in the ass. lol. Any help would be appreciated.

I've never heard of this happening nor had it happen to me. When does it ask for that? How are you running it?

It says it when I click the icon. I dont get it! I sent steam a nasty email. Hopefully they will get the message. I recently updated my arma2. I just hope id doesnt have anything to do with that.

I manually installed it, and recently re-reading the discription I noticed it wasnt supposed to happen. I just had to delete the files for OA and re-install. Everything is peachy now, thanks for the help!

You didn't have to reinstall the game. I had done the same thing as you (manual installation of the patch on Steam), but simply verified the game files through Steam. ;) Glad you got it fixed though.

@Joker: Not gonna get a apology from me, they should prevent things like this from happening in the first place and/or put a tutorial that comes with the product.

Had the same issue. Shut down Steam, then open Properties on your Steam shortcut, and select Run as Administrator.

Should fix the issue.

True, its BI Problem. Your right! Oh well, I could careless now. Everything is all fixed and working fine.
