But still its not working for you. Does any other mods work? its only the ACE ones right?
And what is wrong with you using the launcher?
Either using any launcher or writing the command line myself, I always get the same error in loading a file.
I suppose it's the ACE, don't know for sure.
Thing is if I put the same flags in the Steam options and launch from there, everything's fine.
If I do it manually, it doesn't work.
So there *should* be a reason, but I can't find it.
Added 2 minutes later:
#[FR] Black Mamba :
Anyway, you need to launch the game with CBA, CAB_A2 and CBA_OA, don't you?
Didn't know that, also no launcher ever produced such flags for me.
Hey Guys, I'm brand new to Arma 2 (just bought Combined Operations bundle) and CBA,ACE, and the rest of the mods.
I have issues after installing ArmA 2 CO, CBA, ACE. Hope You can help me.
I'll bring you a screenshot about it.
What have I done sofar :
I've installed (in order) :
- ArmA 2
- OA
- BAF
- PMC
I've copied (to Arma 2 main):
- @ACE
- @ACEX_SM
- @CBA
- @CBA_OA
- @CBA_A2
After this I ran SixUpdater_GUI, selected A2 OA - A.C.E. preset (it auto-selected the Profile: A2 OA Any) and have clicked Update & Install Mods. SixUpdater also installed and/or updated the @ACEX, @ACEX_RU and @ACEX_UsNavy
After all this has been done, I've started the ArmA 2 Combined Operations with its shortcut (made by installer), enabled all the mods ingame Expansions-menu and have restarted Arma 2:CO (and Scenario-Benchmark 01 to know my graphic-settings will do fine)
After that I had the following error messages in order :
- Script BB not found (only option : Click Continue) right after started Benchmark 01
- ERROR : You seem to be an A2: OA CO user, but have loaded the @CBA_OA mod folder! Please restart the game without that mod folder. (green text, no more choices just to press OK)
And then, the benchmark starts but with this errormsg in the lower left corner :

But when I disable the 2 mods (without removing their folders from Arma 2 main folder) in Expansions menu, that it mentioned in the previous errormsg(@CBA_OA and @CBA_A2) and restart ArmA 2, another errormsg appears :
"Addon 'ace_main' requires addon 'CBA_OA_XEH'
And if do remove the @CBA_OA and @CBA_A2 folders from Arma 2 main folder, then I still have the : "Addon 'ace_main' requires addon 'CBA_OA_XEH'-errormsg at game start, the "Script BB not found"-errormsg at Benchmark01-scenario start and after Benchmark starts it still says : ACE requires CBA_MAIN to be version 1,00 or higher instead of 0,83,175 that I have.
As You saw on the screenshot it also says that CBA_A2, CBA_OA, and ACE requires CBA_MAIN (@CBA) at version 1,0,0 or higher. The problem with this I can only find the 0,83,175 version all around the internet.
Ingame ACRE also sends the errormsg : Can't fird dsound.ll dheck the jayarma2lib installation
Every advice, help is a welcome. And Thank You very Much In Advance Guys !
Greetings from Hungary!

Ah. So i know i'm gonna be a bit boring keeping repeating myself, so i'm just gonna post the link to Sickboy's message on BIS forums: here.
Now if you check the readme in your @CBA file it says the same thing: basically you need every CBA folder corresponding to each component you use, plus the @CBA folder.
So for a CO installation, you'll need to load @CBA; @CBA_A2; @CBA_OA
This is as long as you're running the last version of CBA, (1.00 or Higher), before that, you only needed the @CBA if you were running CO.
Seems that the campaign yAzevedo wanna play requires the last update of CBA. In that case, he does need to load the three of them.
I have removed all folders except @CBA @ACE @ACEX @ACEX_SM @ACRE and @JayArma2Lib folders.
I have also deleted the config file from My Documents and restarted ArmA 2 CO, to let it create another one with new entries. And additionally I have tried another method in SixUpdater with a new preset and I've added the desired mods manually and only after I hit Update and download.
After trying to start Arma2: CO again, I still have the errormsg : Addon 'ace_main' requires addon 'CBA_OA_XEH'
And after I hit OK (only option) on this errormsg, the game loads and starts but when I start a "single mission/scenario/village sweep" for example, when it starts, in the upper right :
"ACRE: dsound.dll not loaded in arma2! Check jayarma2lib installation" errormsg appears. I already have triplechecked the jayarma2lib installation, it has contain the dsound.dll
In the lower left it still saying that my @CBA is out of date, even if it was manually and automatically checked and updated.
I own the Arma2: CO bundle but installers for Arma2 and Operation Arrowhead are separate, I don't know if it could be any problem. Or should I start with the ArmA2 shortcut? And not with the ArmA2: Combined Operations shortcut?
Still trying but waiting for some solution,
Thank You
That should be put right, cause it doesnt need all 3, ive never done it that way and ive been
told by other too that you only need the one for your game version. (unless there has been an update
and now it requires all of them which I highly doubt).
Sickboy:
please take note of the new, somewhat inversed, requirements:
Always load @CBA
Also load @CBA_A2 if you have A2 Original content
Also load @CBA_OA if you have Operation Arrowhead content
Please notice the "IF". And what this should be meaning is like this
Always load @CBA (correct)
Now, if you have JUST ArmA 2 then use the above @CBA and @CBA_A2
But, if you have Operation Arrowhead (combined operations) then you use @CBA and CBA_OA
That is the way ive always seen it and works fine for me.
@CBA => Copy this directory to your Arma II game directory (see manual for more details).
@CBA_OA => Copy this aswell, but only if you have a standalone Operation Arrowhead installation.
@CBA_A2 => Copy this if you have ArmA II but not Arrowhead.
@CBA/store/wiki.tar => Tar archive of the online wiki. This is a copy of the DevHeaven wiki at the time of release.
@CBA/store/function_library.tar => Tar archive of the the function/macro reference.
@CBA/store/keys/ => Server keys for addons.
@CBA/store/source/ => Source files for all addons.
You do need the three of them, and yes there's been a major update, and it did change the way you need to use CBA.
Sickboy:The new version supports the various game editions better (A2/OA/CO, TOH, TOH Rearmed(A2/OA/CO). UI inheritance and dik_codes.h includes and different locked script command behavior, see posts of past pages for more details),
removes various CfgPatches and CfgVehicles ghost classes that were existing before in A2 or OA Standalone incl wrong UI inheritance, and fixes several issues.
Review the changelogs and ticket/revision history on dev-heaven for details.
@yAzevedo download this and ONLY use @CBA and @CBA_OA (at least try it anyways).
IF however that doesnt work, the link I gave you gives you @CBA @CBA_A2 and @CBA_OA
JUST use the original @CBA from that link. I have just tested them all together, I got an error!
I then tested @CBA and @CBA_OA together, I got an error. And finally I just used @CBA and it
works fine.
The files and website for CBA_OA_XEH can be found here.
@[FR] Black Mamba Like I said mate, im not 100% sure im right but the way ive always done it has
always worked for me, I will ask Foxhound to drop by here once he is around
Edit: Just tried it your way, with all 3 running, here is what I got:

But I still have that upper right corner errormsg : "ACRE: dsound.dll not loaded in arma2! Check jayarma2lib installation"
I don't know if it means anything, but when ingame I open my gear and pick one of the AN/PRC -radios which is in my backpack there's a red lock behind its name. Probably I need to unlock it first ?
But I dont think that could be connected to the "not loaded dsound.dll file which is still a problem. How can I make it loaded ?
