Please do note Raptor,

BIS is making DLC so they can use that fund to give us more in the ARMA II game engine. Say for example you are the owner of BIS and you want to keep adding more to the game engine but, at the same time you don't want to lose money. Remember when you release a game, eventually the game sale will come down, And how will BIS get money so they can do more for the game engine? Make more things/Items to sell in this case its the DLC.

I can see why Wolle is mad, people always expect SO MUCH from a small company like BIS, They are trying to fix the bugs but at the same time they are trying to give us more. BIS is known for fixing just about every bug in ArmA, They are going to do the same for ARMA II.

Remeber this

If your not going to buy, Don't Cry/Complain about it because its not your problem

It's obvious he's a troll and just bashing BI for nothing.

First post here and accusing BIS of stuff that is either not true or based on his imagination. The fact that he said he's moving to DR because of the DLC clearly shows that. *WALL*
Like I said: if you have no idea what you are talking about then stfu!

BIS releasing their first paid DLC after almost 10 years of free patches and content and he's talking about hundreds of DLC and babbling about COD and BIS tasting money. You n*****t! What do you think they tasted the last 10 years?

But okay a look at his age says it all. It's soo easy if mommy and daddy pay the bills to claim everything must be for free. Expensive Addons my ass. How much he spent on his computer to run ArmA2? Most probably 600 times that much at least.

If that clown would be owner of BI they would have gone downhill long time.

# Raptor22 : So Calm Down Man.:D

You are the one who needs to calm down. I have no problem with anyone not wanting to buy the DLC, not liking it or feeling the need to vent his negative feelings in a constructive way.
I do however have a problem when a person does feel the need to swear at BIS and using caps in his text which make him look like a little kid screaming for attention.
Also spreading false rumors (BIS quiting supporting the tools) is something I dont like to see.

Stick to the facts, post in a normal way and respect the developer. If thats to much to asked better not post at all. Thank you.

Well I shall be buying it, apparently what they've mentioned might not be all of what is within the DLC, there might be more units etc.

Either way, for the quality of the stuff which will be in the DLC, I believe that it is worth it. BIS also seem to be leaving enough room with this DLC for modders to fill in the gaps. They aren't completely adding the British Military with everything they have, just some of the stuff which will be used the most. Everyone else can then add things like Strikers, Warships, Jets etc which is actually a good thing. I hope that if BI have a success with this, then they will make more DLCs which improve the game but still leave options for modders. Don't forget, modders could always tweak the DLC units etc, they've been tweaking the original content for years anyway (Although I'm kinda expecting the stuff BI release to be already more or less perfected rather than needing work, they gotta justify the price somehow).

Ha ha we already got strikers man. But i see what your saying, In fact the modding community already has some BAF vehicles. Like the challenger. BIS got the basics in that's good. So we don't have to worry about modding weapons and troops.

All we need are the tanks..........

But you know BIS they are trying to get the same thing that we got in afghan, So they might only make the items of what the BAF got in afghan. Possibly more.;-) But We never did hear that is the only things they are making thought, so who knows, we possibly can expect more.

But im going to get it. Im mostly into the USMC so im still messing around with the original ARMA II content. :-D

Hehe, yeah Marko i think his name is mentioned on the BIA forums (his CEO or something high up like that) that people who think what they've revealed so far are the only things aren't thinking enough. So I presume it's either lots of extras for gameplay or more units.

Btw, I mean't striker has in this;
British Anti-Tank Striker
I could see why you got mistaken though, easy mistake, I love the US Stryker, it's a great bit of kit.

I'm hoping to be honest this will get better with Dutch, Polish, Italian and Greek troops in on the mix, that would be awesome along with a few others.

I'm not complaining about the DLC, in fact I will likely buy it. Selling content is how BIS makes it's money and it is a fair price. But I can also understand why some do not like it. It begins to pave the way for a new marketing model, and other game makers have seen a community decline when doing similar things.

The main difference between this and other company DLC is that this one has CONTENT to it. It's not the content that everyone might personally want (Challenger missing, gun sights possibly incorrect, whatever) but a lot more content then you'll find in most any other DLC option. It's no 2 new maps and 3 rehash maps for $15 nonsense like Activision pulls.

What might be cool is a full army TOE and new map and game engine improvement (retroactive, official configs included for CO units) for $15. That would be really nice. Full British Army units (air/land/sea), a Jungle Map and engine improvements like IED module and shooting from vehicles (land/air) would be so worth $15 even without a campaign. Units are already halfway done from this DLC and the tech already exist in VBS, so porting it over shouldn't be too difficult.
