Hey everyone! New to the forums, but been playing arma 2 for quite a while. I've played the series starting at OFP:Resistance for Xbox. After I got bored of arma 2 Domi I went offline and started fiddling with the mission editor.

Speaking of missions, I could use some "playtesters" ;-) Less so that than just people to play with. Let me know if you're interested!

Welcome to the forums

Added 17 minutes later:

Been playing BI games since the launch of the original OFP, I’ve owned all the OFP games and add-ons games apart from the Red River release this year. However I don’t play OFP anymore and started on Arma2, been playing it for a few years almost now.

I also enjoy the Call of Duty MW series and the Black Ops version as well as Microsoft Flight Sims.

Away from my PC I’m a student pilot and a keen motor yachting and computer networks enthusiast, currently employed in the Financial industry.

Greetings, I'm Adeno! I come from many different games. One type of games I love are sandbox games where almost anything is possible. Before Grand Theft Auto 3, I first played Operation Flashpoint where anything was almost possible with the help of scripting. I lost track of the Operation Flashpoint games due to college and stuff. A few years later, I discovered the ARMA games, but I had no idea that it's actually from the same makers of Operation Flashpoint. I just thought that the first time I saw it, it kind looked like Operation Flashpoint with better graphics. I got ARMA 2 as a gift and found out that it actually uses the same editor as the one from Operation Flashpoint!

Too bad I'm not good at scripting anymore, but I already have a couple of simple but good ideas in mind that I'd want to develop as an add on to the game just for fun. I hope to re-learn scripting from here, and actually I'm going to give land creation and unit creation a try! :)

Hi all, I've been playing 'Mil Sims' for as long as I've had a PC, starting with the Tom Clancy R6 series and then onto the original OFP with it's addons before moving through the ARMA range until I've now just started Reinforcments. I've got some terrible Interweb so I'm restricted to offline play only which means the SP missions/campaigns can get stale quickly but this place has such a wealth of phenomenal extra's that each ARMA version I've got ends up lasting far longer than should have done.

I mainly play combined arms missions as the SF ones just don't quite grab me in the same way. The ability of the game to have 40+ infantry and IFV's start attacking multiple strongpoints while you provide HMG/GMG/Sniper support and call in air strikes or being the infantry at the lead of the attack with all the cover fire over your head is fantastic.

Oh and I can't wait for ARMA 3 to arrive!

Cheers.............................................................IAnH

Cheers,

Glad to report in. I have the honour of being the CO of NATO Task Force, a cooperatively minded team of lads and one lady. We are organized as as per STANAG, with a staff and combat units.

We are all devoted "Rainbow 6: Raven Shield"-players, with an average age between 18-45. We still see RvS as the best CQB/antiterrorism FPS, but the game is old and we need to look ahead. Many of our members are or have been in military service. Situational awareness is the foundation for every virtual op we do.

I installed ArmA OA a few days ago, and it was like entering a universe compared to entering rooms in RvS...

Looking forward to explore more of this universe..
