well, i'am still working on this big mission, but i still have some problems, cause i don't fully understand how to make an overview, a briefing, notes, etc..

here is a light version of another mission, still on the blackhawk down theme.
this one is in takistan, not zargabad. it is still in beta version.

One issue I noticed so far (in the Takistan version), the game always just ends as soon as it says that the chopper was hit and you have to get to it. Probably the chopper is destroyed completely before getting outside of the End#1 trigger.

nope, that is normal. i made end#1 when the chopper is shot down.

i'd like to make something like, crash the chopper exactly where i want, and then, replace the chopper by a wreck one.
however, i don't know how i can do that.

Alright, the way I'm thinking about this is you damage the tail rotor, and it epically goes down. While the pilot still has command over the chopper, he sets it down at the point you want the heli to 'crash' and then proceed to use the I.E.D script when he touches down, causing the chopper to explode. That would give you the destroyed wreckage, without the pesky translations or models. :)

A friend of mine has a mission with this kind of idea in it. He's using UnitCapture for the crash and switches the player to a 'safe' unit after the crash. It's a pretty genius solution really. :)

Looks good my man! Ill play probably 20 times to get a feel if it needs to be tweaked and if there are any freak accidents with the AI.

i am sorry to say that, but many things make me quit this project.
some things are definitely too complicated to make, and i won't succeed to fix it.
i am not good enough to make this mission fine, so i give up.

hope someday someone better than me at making mission will do one like it.

I improved a little bit myself at doing mission (just some things I don't get yet, such as how do I make objective be fullfilled or add a new objective during the mission), and I begin to work again on that mission, but on fallujah this time, because the city is awesome and gives some great opportunities.
I'll let you know how well it progress...

guys, i am happy to tell you that i have almost finished my 1st black hawk down style mission.

i'll be home tomorrow, so i'll post it asap.

for the moment, the whole mission is in french, but i'll release an english version asap.
