I am still fairly modest in my mission editing ability, but I would like to know if anyone has played my chopper race misson, and if so, how did you like it and what criticisms can you offer to help me make it better?

I want you to know also, that I have a template mission I have been building and now have it up to 4 players. What type of races would be most enjoyable for you, the Armaholic community?

Apache vs. Alligator races (haha)?

Or choppers of the same type to keep it fair?

Perhaps combination races where you have a mix of choppers and planes where some of the checkpoints are fairly close together and others are further apart? I think that would be very interesting, as the choppers would be at distinct advantage during the close checkpoints, but would lose it to the planes for the "straightaways".

In any case, I'd like to hear some feedback and ideas on what kind of races would be interesting, enjoyable and most importantly actually played by the community.

And are there any rivalries, like the AH-64 vs. Ka-52 match up that anyone is interested in? Also, what maps do you want to race in?

I guess people around here are too nice to say "You know, we don't really care about racing, we're here to wage war...".

C'est la vie.

It's what the game is about, shoot the bastard who is stupid enough to cross your path, War is awesome.

I think not.

Added 4 minutes later:

To me, this game is about an excellent and highly versatile outdoor engine which allows the user to enjoy a customized experience and essentially create his own perfect PC game. My perfect PC game does not involve the sentiment that you described above.

I don't think that the populations affected by war think it's awesome. Those who profit from it certainly do though. I think war and violence are necessary, but then only when faced with unjust aggressors who will not be stopped by another more peaceful means.

Excuse me for my ignorance, I apologize. You're misguided by the connotation of "awesome", I was just describing that it instills excitement and fear in people. I never meant to imply it was necessarily good.
