Hey
When I try to run Arma 2 OA it crashes, but when I have it on "run as administrator" it doesn't crash UNTIL I start the campaign, it takes 3-4 minutes and it crashes... I need some help here!

Copy the file and paste it here using [quote][/quote] tags or upload to a file hosting company like rapidshare etc

Actually just paste it here submit it and then provide the link, make sure you give me a frsh .RPT though with a recent crash, preferebbly one that has just happened (so delete the arma2oa.RPT and run the game... a new one will be created)

Also let me know what version you are running is it a download, steam or hard disc? You may just have to update to the latest version.

As of now the version you are running is 1.51, latest is 1.57 with 1.59 due for release very soon. So update to 1.57 and keep your eye out for the next patch release here or on the BI Forums.

arma2OA.RPT:
Exception code: C0000005 ACCESS_VIOLATION at 01CEC594
graphics: D3D9, Device: ATI Radeon HD 4800 Series , Driver:aticfx32.dll 8.17.10.1059
resolution: 1120x896x32

According to a quick check of the net other ATI users with this problem are -or were- using non-standard/non-native display resolutions. You could try troubleshooting this by editing the resolution in your *:\Users\*\Documents\ArmA 2\ArmA2OA.cfg
____
What type of media are you using...DVD, D2D, Sprocket, or Steam?

Only people who downloaded the game cant patch to 1.57. Its a known message in such instances.

Are you sure you bought the game, you really dont have to expect anyone of us to give you a link to a patch version where CD check is disabled you know.

I have found a nice topic for you with many links to equal kind of topics:
http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?t=109195&highlight=patch+wrong+key

I didnt read them obviously but from some other posts I learned some people were able to install it if they just kept on trying to install it. Maybe you are that lucky as well?

I use the DVD version.
But what should I change the resolution to?

Well, I don't find any native True Color 32bit resolutions of 1120x896 in any format, but I'm on a desktop and use NVIDIA.
Right click your desktop and scroll down to and select the Screen Resolution icon...make note of whatever Windows recognizes as native (or recommended) and use that as a start.

You should also check your Catalyst Control Center on what it has listed and if necessary, reset to default.

OK, when I right click on the desktop the Screen Resolution doesn't come up... And Catalyst Control Center I have already tested.

Strange...what OS are you using and what is the actual physical size of your monitors (or laptops) display?

Start/Accessories/System Tools/System Information/Components/Display>Resolution & Bits/Pixel
(Win7Px64)
