I know not everyone likes to read walls of text however there is much to cover, so this will be a simple introduction rather than cramming all of todays progress down your throat.

Simply follow the _____ under each one the next subject will begin. And to not hang up those with a slower connection I will be url'ing the images.

Photo's: There are many of these so this will be a particularly chunky piece, covering AH-64A,D and block 3 as well as the cockpits.

That looks really amazing. Keep up the great work!

cant wait!

Life is not an easy matter... You cannot live through it without falling into frustration and cynicism unless you have before you a great idea which raises you above personal misery, above weakness, above all kinds of perfidy and baseness.

Far too early I'm afraid, we've only just pushed an alpha testbed in over last week to try out some theories and add what we knew was possible to the bird.

Here are some videos, I meant to record them with audio and voice but it came out veeery quiet.. and I deleted the projects at the time so the videos uploaded were smaller and in worse quality than they should be.

Articulated Rotor System- here you can see all of the parts at work and how user input effects them. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iSW1VFeoG2M (still a bit WIP hence the scissors breaking apart when the swashplate lowers)

PNVS- pilots night vision sensor controlled by the pilot and useable as a sensor, also controllable in flight. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y9_3g6NcnOY&feature=related

Extended Dynamic Arming System- The future of dynamic arming on Franze vehicles. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=21qJaHzxAQc&feature=related

Pilot controlled cannon- as description says. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oSUTdRQvjzg&feature=related

Pylon Elevation testing- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gEfbqUlCUyE

Missile firemode tests- using LOBL to take out a tank surrounded by tree's and another at 5K meters.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w5iq_1tcbPA
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w5iq_1tcbPA

Early flight testing- this maneuverability represents the AH-64A, the D will be less agile, however it will still be more agile than the default. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ygxhbr4IutE

TSD, Very early IHADSS tracking, FCR and Hellfire launch modes- Due to length and file size this could not be uploaded to youtube and had to be split up. Use hjsplit to compile the files for watching.

480 quality-

Again this is all very WIP so what you see now does NOT represent the final product.

Busyness is quite alright, for the next few weeks we likely won't be posting a whole lot of progress, Franze has finals comming up and I'm working on refining the interior cockpits while finishing the exterior.

Just a bump to show I haven't forgotten you all, I've been very quiet everywhere mainly due to working on optimizing the model but at the same trying to make it so that nothing 'appears' to be differnet while at the same adding more detail and finishing it.

Since the AH-64A hasn't been getting much press at all I decided to focus on it this time, and best of all the model is 99% finished and ready to move on to UV mapping.

Also a sneak peak at some of the things you'd see on the prop models.

Seems I forgot how to host the images through the image viewer...

Modedit:
Fixed by Foxhound:
The problem with the pics not working was due to the format. This was the link:
Its not working due to the "?t=1306971176" which makes it an non-recognized extension. I removed that part from behind all jpg extensions and now it works.

Using caps in the tags does not matter, by default we use "img" but the CMS can read "IMG" as well.

We use smaller case code over here Nod i.e. [ img ] without spaces ofcourse, you should have an picture add option in advanced edit also.

I have alerted a mod to edit for you never the less, i'll check them tommorow and convey my praise then :-)

Ohh great Nod, only one question, considering the latest announcement for ArmA3 that is still far away for release, but there will be for sure a huge mass moving to the next title, r u considering the eventuality to port your model to the next game??

Yuor project seem to be awesome, and would be a pitty not to be able to use this helo within the next title.

Keep it up with this great work *THUMBS UP*

It will probably be moved into A3 eventually but unless there is a great incentive such as a few factors from TOH such as render to texture to name one, then I doubt there will be any huge rush.

While Franze is bogged down with other things I've had a lot of free time, and UV mapping isn't the most fun part of a project with a lot of pieces.. so I went ahead and started on the multi national side of the project.

First up is the WAH-64.

Saraf (Israeli longbow)

NAH-64 extended flare and DIRCM pods.

Right now I'm finishing up UV mapping and with any luck will be able to get into texturing.

What an eye for detail, those first three pic's are simply stunning. I read that you will also be contributing versions of the apache for Project Reality and CWR². That I cant wait for...

Did you get chance to try the ToH Community Preview yet mate? this made me :-D
