Well I use the 2d editor and like people have stated, it's easier to have a view over larger groups and there locations. But 3d editor would save time esepcially when base building or placing objects/units into objects, this would save time. So yes both.

I think since we've had a 3rd party made 3D editor for both Arma & Arma2 I don't see that it would be that difficult to implement on bohemias end. I'd love both I don't think I want only a 3D editor, always good to have a good overall view of the map. So yeah ... 3D + 2D ... 5D-editor.

The 2D Editor was great to place units and waypoints for them. But the 3D Editor (i used the Real Time Editor by i0n0s) was great for little details in the mission like AAA guns and SAM launchers on roofs or soldiers in and on buildings and several small details like placing weapons directly on a desk and not in a weapon box.
So I want a 3D Editor in ArmA 3 which can do exactly this.

If you find a spelling mistake, you can Keep it *WRITE*

The 3D editor will be a good addition to an already great piece of software. As long as the option to seamlessly swap between the two would be a great added functionality, as some things are easier to edit in 2D than in 3D.
I have used the current 3D version and as long as this is improved then I can't see a problem with having both co-existing.
It would be great if there was also a terrain editor included so that we could create our own islands or land masses, it's one of the features of the current editor that I find so annoying.
I am still familiarising myself with the editor and I am really looking forward to ARMA 3.

BIS has already confirmed that the 3D editor won't be completed for ArmA3. We'll be stuck with what we have so far.

That's a real shame as I was really looking forward to it, but never mind I am sure it will be released in a future patch!

I think the Editor as it is fine in 2D, but I guess a 3D option for the above mentioned reasons would at least be nice.

Definitely both. What would really compliment the 2D editor atm, is to make suspend take us straight back into the editor UI. Without having to manually go back in there. Then, in my eyes, a 3d editor becomes less important. Since the main pillar of the 3d editor is the ability to precisely place objects. But, if I can transition into & out of (into the mission) the 2d editor very quickly & seamlessly, then precise placed objects via 3d editor become redundant. Since the 2d editor is quicker to work with (once you're actually in the editor).

Regardless, I'd still like to see both *YES*

Both but something i would see useful is a coop editor so me and my friends can edit the same mission over lan or net we do it already with Rte Wich we activate through lost key however that method lags functionality so a full featured editor where you can edit the mission with a friend or 2 would be nice
