IA DRANG

Hi all just thought I should share this mission I made for my clan with you :D
Its based closely on the battle of IA Drang (the battle that was fought in Nam), it is for Arma 2 and requires no mods ( apart from BAF lite, or full version). It was made for clan games as it requires a lot of teamwork. I hope you dont mind but here is the post I used when I advertised it for my clan,
The aim of the misson is to land at LZ XRAY where a small group of special forces landed 4 hours ago and started setting up an F.O.B in that area. 1 hour after drop off the special force group found rebel scouts in the area. After interigating them for 20 minutes we were informed that there is hundreds of rebels in the nearby hills! After telling this information to HQ, we were quickly told to get ready for the greatest battle of our time. We are outnumbered 4:1 but we will succeed, Why? Because we are the MARINES!

There are 38 slots

Objectives

    Land at LZ Xray
    Set up a small defence
    Get ready for hell!

Mission Endings

    Survive the onslught for 60 minutes!
    Assult the HQ
    Evac

Important
All players start with no weapons you must manually get them from nearby crates
note: To keep your weapon on death you MUST click 'save loadout' when obtaining the weapon.

What addons are required to play this? Please be so kind to add links to those addons!
I see you wrote it requires no addons, but the island in the picture is not a default island, so it must required addons?

I see you wrote it requires no addons, but the island in the picture is not a default island, so it must required addons?

Downloaded the file and it has the extension .chernarus.pbo.. .but I'd swear that pic is from MBG_Nam island??

Yes sorry the mission was originally for the Unsung mod and I simply transferred it to vanilla arma 2. I will try and find a replacement for it. And it requires no mods.

*updated
*added ground vehicles for use at base
*added civilians for a more dynamic experience
*added spawning for the helos
*slightly increased enemy AI number

Updated

    fixed spawning problems
    created a mission end
    Added even more AI both friendly & enemy
    enemy's now attack from all directions
    Added mortar
    Added rearm points for helos
    Improved base & LZ
