Reinforcements doesn't have a lite version of ArmA 2 nor has it ever stated it has. You need to do some more research before complaining about something that isn't true. Every other player seems to understand the concept of a standalone expansion. I find it very difficult to understand why you do not.
Standalone Expanision == A new game that does not need the original game to work, meaning why the hell would it include the original game when it is something completely different. If you want to have ArmA 2 and all of its predecessors you have to buy them. As a business point of view you would be bankrupt in no time if you offer all your older titles with your newer titles.
# Jango :
Please try and make your point without inferring that i'm a DayZ player, ive never played that mod and have no intention of doing so.
Being that you've never played ArmA 2 before and that you bought reinforcements, and the recent popularity of the game through the DayZ mod which requires chernarus. I was assuming that is why you are asking the question, and if your'e being truthful I'd be right, right?
# Jango :
To "Expand" is to increase the scope or size of the original object, in this case Arma 2.
Wrong again. Reinforcements was an easy solution to having both DLC's in a handy downloadable/hard copy pack. With the inclusion of light Operation Arrowhead. The DLC's were 'expanding' on Operation Arrowhead not ArmA 2. ArmA 2 and Operation Arrowhead are seperate titles.
- Upcoming Czech Republic DLC
- British Armed Forces DLC
- Private Military Contractors DLC
(Both of the above == Reinforcements)
If you have all of the above it would be known as Combined Operations, launched through a single desktop shortcut.
From the reinforcements intro itself:
Arma 2: Reinforcements brings to the Armaversum two new factions - Her Majesty's Armed Forces and private contractors. Play it separately or combine with original Arma 2: Combined Operations (both ArmA 2 and Operation Arrowhead) for ultimate military combat experience. Join the massive online multiplayer battles with up to 50 players and hundreads of AI units!
