Hello. This is my first post on the forums. I am looking for assistance with a terrain glitch that renders the immediately surrounding terrain- that is, the game cells directly below and in front of my character- textureless and white. It eliminates all immersion, and it doesn't help my situation with the bad frame rate. I am not sure what the cause for the glitch is, but I have attempted to fix it through the video menu in the settings, to no avail. There are occasions that when passing through an area with ferns, high grass or a hill, the terrain textures return, but then immediately become white again. Like I said earlier, this does not affect all terrain, just the terrain closest to my character.
If it would help, I could take pictures of the glitch through Steam. If there are any game directory edits, mods, or settings adjustments I could make to solve the problem, I would very much appreciate your input. Thanks!
Here's what I'm using:
Operating System- Windows 7 Home Premium, Service Pack 1
Processor: Intel Pentium CPU, P6200 2.13 GHz
System Type: 64-bit
8 GBs of RAM, 3.80 unused
I have this same issue. It is very frustrating. It only ever goes away when I turn on Anti-Aliasing to low, but when I do that everything is slowed down to unbearable levels. I've tried just living with it, but I have been looking online for a solution for months. I'm wondering if there are any patches or hotfixes for this issue? It only started when I updated to the latest version a few months ago.
