Alright, so I've been running ACE mod for OA and yesterday I just installed DayZ to play with my friend. I transferred out the @ACE folders and put in my @DayZ folder (in my ArmA II OA directory), I use SixLauncher to play both mods. I couldn't join any servers on DayZ so I downloaded DayZ Commander and updated both DayZ and my OA. That worked fine yesterday. Then today I wanted to play ACE so I transferred out my @DayZ folder and inserted my @ACE folder. Now when I try to open either OA or CO through steam, the game opens the console like it's going to start then it closes the console and nothing happens. When I try to join any game for ACE through SixLauncher, it opens the game to the point of joining the server then closes saying "Bad serial number given in setup". I'm dying to play some Zargabad insurgency on ST3 server, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Why are you transfering your mod folders anyway? your just making the process a million times difficult
and bound to run into problems. Do you know how to use multiple mod folders? if not then check here.

I do suggest using a mod launcher though which you can find a good one here (the one I use).

1st - Check The Rules! 2nd - Use The Search!

Okay, so I set up the ArmA II launcher like you said, selected the modfolders that I want to run. But now when I start up the game I get the errors "Addon 'MAP_EU' requires addon 'CASigns2'" and "No entry 'bin\config.bin/CfgSurfaceCharacters.CRGrassWClutter" and after those two errors it takes a ridiciously long time for the game to finally load of which I still get the "Bad serial number given in setup" error.

Added 7 minutes later:

http://puu.sh/XZsf - heres a picture of my OA folder as it stands right now if that helps.

# Animefan162a : I get the errors "Addon 'MAP_EU' requires addon 'CASigns2'"

You seem to have more custom addons installed that you know of. I think this error means you are running just Operation Arrowhead and not Combined Operations (Arma 2 + Arma 2: Operation Arrowhead). However since you played DayZ you must have Arma 2 so check if you configured the launcher correctly to run CO.

and "No entry 'bin\config.bin/CfgSurfaceCharacters.CRGrassWClutter"

Again this seems to indicate you are not starting CO.

I still get the "Bad serial number given in setup" error.

Make sure to run both Steam and the game in administrator mode (right click the shortcuts).

As far as the custom launcher goes, It doesn't give me the option to run Combined Operations anywhere, just ArmA II and Operation Arrowhead.... And when you say "Run as Admin" do you mean run steam as admin, and then run OA from the folder directory as admin? I don't know any other way to do it... (I don't have ArmA II or OA as desktop shortcuts, only folder directory shortcuts)

go into your C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead and make a shortcut with the Arma2OA.EXE onto your desktop.
then right click that shortcut on your desktop and "run as" admin
As far as your errors you might have PBO's in the wrong directory or something?
have u installed PBO's by themselves maybe?
without an add-on folder?

When you uninstalled, did you manually remove the addons you installed or not? Cause if not, those addons are still in there and so you still have the same issue.

Bumping because my game is still broken. Removed mods, reinstalled both ArmA II and OA. Still broken. Is there a way for me to rollback the patch? I think the patch might've broken it...

Nope, you can not roll back. You can only re-install and not apply the patch.
If you are using steam I think you are stuck as Steam always provides the latest version.

Okay, so I managed to fix regular ArmA II by deleting the program folder and reinstalling however I am still having the "bad serial number given in setup" with Operation Arrowhead even after running both steam and OA in administrator mode. As for Combined Operations, when I try to run it, the console simply opens and closes itself and nothing happens, this is after I deleted the program folder and reinstalled. So bumping for assistance again.

Added 17 hours 54 minutes later:

Okay now I've got another problem. Remember how I said ArmA II works? It doesn't. Multiplayer doesn't at least. Every single server I connect to, even ones that I've connected to frequently in the past will not let me play, I can connect, choose my slot, load the mission, then BAM I get kicked back to the server list with ABSOLUTELY NO ERROR MESSAGE. HELP ME PLEASE!

Added 3 minutes later:

Hold on, I found something out, even though I DELETED THE ENTIRE PROGRAM FOLDER AND REINSTALLED, somehow ArmA II still has my custom missions... I redownloaded and reinstalled from Steam.

Your custom missions are not stored in the game installation folder but in your documents folder, that is why they are still there.

As for your issues.
The game works for hundreds of thoussands of players, you must be doing something wrong and I have no idea.
About your bad serial error, check all things you find in all these threads:
