Well a couple of weeks ago I was playing arma 2 CO and I was playing with ACE and ACRE and then I decided to play just ACE so I went to disable ACRE and I accidently pressed @CBA which I believe is an ACE file so now it wont start up. Well it wasn't a huge problem until i wanted to play non ACE game mods. I have tried to launch the game from Six Updater without any mods enabled but it still wont work and its getting really irritating and I am no computer whiz at all so I might need a little more in depth explaining any help would be appreciated.

Well, it sounds mostly like a six-updater issue (if you ticked a box to disable in six)
So I'd do a search for "six updater" related questions, or try a six-updater forum.
Provided you have all mods installed you could do a search for a third part arma-launcher instead of using six-updater (until you figure out the problem anyway.)
:-)

....that's all folks....!

I dont get it, why not simply launch the game without starting SU if thats giving you issues?
You can just launch the game using the normal exe file, Six Updater does not interfere with the exe file so unless your entire install is corrupted I do not see how it can prevent you from launching the game.

What is the error you see when you try to launch the game from the shortcut (on your desktop)?

Why don't you search? That must be an error in the top ten of most seen error messages with fixes posted all over the internet as well as this forum.
So ........... search!

And, since this error is related to you using custom content this is not a thread which belongs in the troubleshooting section.
The error already states which addon it causes so you should be able to find numerous other threads about that addon here on the Armaholic forums.

Hey everyone! My Arma 2 CO won't start although I believe the main problem is within my Arma 2 OA because Arma 2 works out fine. Every time I click on my shortcut a message would appear that "Arma 2 OA has stopped working." It was working fine before and I do run it as administrator, I even uninstalled and reinstalled my Combined Operations and reinstalled the patches to 1.62, but no happy results. Please help and thanks.

Have you tried re-installing the whole game and not just CO? See if that works.

Hey ninja_prime, I did what you said and the game works now, but when I try to update my game to the patch of 1.62. The game doesn't work again. I downloaded this patch months ago, but I just kept reusing because If something happened to my game, I wouldn't need to download the patch again. Do you think my download is corrupted? What am I doing wrong????

Glad it worked, looks like the patch is corrupted, have you tried DL it from another site? Its the only thing I can think of. I am not too sure how the patching in ArmA works, but in some games you have to install an earlier patch before you can install the next one. I assume you got ArmA on disc rather than Steam?

Hey everyone, I got another problem with my combined operations and I believe I may have to buy a new ArmA 2 OA because of this problem. I was looking around google to see if I can still enhance my gaming experience in ArmA 2 CO by playing around with the ArmA 2 OA cfg. files. I read that if I place the GPU_DetectedFrames to 0, It'll go into some sort of Default mode. I saved the file and ran my game. The game was able to start, but after 30 seconds I got an error, "Bad serial number given in setup". I tried to change it back, but it seems that it became permanent... I tried reinstalling the whole game, but the GPU_DetectedFrames remained at 0... Everything else is fine meaning that they all have values. It's just that one that's not working... I did delete the cfg file and ran the game hoping the game would be able to make a new and fixed one, but no luck... Does anyone know how to fix this??? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

P.S. Please don't tell me immediately to buy a new one because I'm saving money for ArmA 3 and I just got my new Alienware laptop. I wouldn't want to spend so much money in just 1 month. Thanks again.

Hey mrwan74, I got a little problem. I have no idea how to do step 2 because I can't find it... Can it only be found with the download tool you just showed me or it's there even then? I'm sorry, I'm still kind of new to this whole process.
