I am getting this window poping up after I Install the 1.08 patch. I have been playing ArmA for about 6 mo. now and then this pops up.

"Could not write license data!
Please contact Customer Support for further instructions."

I have downloaded patch from several different sites. The international and the U.S. which are both supposed to work. I can play the game before the patch but not afterwards. I have contacted atari but have not heard back yet. I have found very little info on the net. I appologize if this is a duplictae thread but I looked for others. I will update when I hear back from atari also.

Any info would be a great help.

Let's See
Intel Core Duo 6700 2.66 GHz
MB - Abit IN9-32-MAX
2.0 GB corsair DDR 6400 Ram
NVIDIA GeForce 7950 GT - 512 DDR2 DX9
XP Pro Svs pack 2
Tarabyte of storage

I cleared the registry and deleted any file associated with ArmA.

I even installed ArmA on a different drive to see if that could help.
I ran the Launch Analysis program and Atari didn't have a place to send the file in there email.
Not sure when I will hear back from them.(not complaining, I am sure they are busy)
I just can't find much info on this problem.

Well i never heard of this problem. Searching on the net doesn't come with anything ArmA related but this error also appears in other games.

Some people say it has to be with the Admin accounts problems but not so much info about all this.

Others contacted Securom (in case was the protection) but didn't solve it as far as i read.

The only one said he found a solution was to create a new admin account:
Zooch at Crysis beta forums:
My last try involved me making a new admin account, transferring ownership from my old account, then deleting my old account. Since the exceptions were rebuilt under my new account, everything worked fine. I did lose all of my saved info online as well as my bookmarks and such, also had to redo my desktop again and change some files around. Nothing big, just annoying given the time I've already put into fixing my computer and running this beta.

Others talk about a windows reinstall but thats to much for a first try i guess.

Thank You very much Big!. I made a new administrator account and from the DVD ran the game and it works!
Whew, I was afraid I was not going to be able to play over christmas break.
I am still not sure what caused the error, but at least there is a solution for anyone else runs into this.

THANKS AGAIN!!!!
