Arma 3: Script Request Topic

Ever really wanted a script that has never been made before? Don't have time to make one or not sure how to make one? Looking for a specidic script which you think exists already but can not find it? You can post your requests here, then maybe one day you may well see something you requested actually in-game or at least get some decent feedback, or maybe others can give you a link where to find the script what you are looking for.

- Requests should be informative, tidy, include reference material for research and development purposes.

- Do not bump your request, no exception. Discussing a request is of course allowed but when we see useless posts are added to bring it on top the request will be removed.

- The fact we have a Script request thread does not mean you should not search for scripts you need/would like to have to see if they are already made. When its obvious you didn't bother to search your request will be removed without further notice.

All script requests which do not apply to the rules as explained in this post will be deleted without further notice every now and than!!

Hi someone know a script for hidding/removing dead bodies?

I tried a lot of scripts from arma2 and they doesnt work.

I am totally new to scripting/modding just got into using the mission editor in Arma 3. I like the diver idea added to Arma 3. I have not been able to get a diver-explosive expert (or any one with explosive bundles/satchels) to place them on boats. The scripting to attaching explosives to other vehicles seems to work fine.

I'm trying to design a mission where you attach explosives to a speedboat from underwater then detonate it as it speeds away.

1. Is this a doable script request?

It's doable. Try putting this in the initilization field of whoever you want to have a satchel charge.
this addMagazine "SatchelCharge_Remote_Mag";
If you want something smaller than a satchel try
this addMagazine "DemoCharge_Remote_Mag";

Hi, I am new to scripting too, Seems like it would be a fairly simple script, but can't seem to find it anywhere. Looking for an invincibility script for players in a Multiplayer game mode I am messing around with, either that or a script that respawns players exactly as they started, to be more specific I am using the PhysX Playground as the base for a superhero vs squad game mode, but for some reason once somebody dies on the server when they respawn they do not have access to the PhysX action menu any more. Can anyone help, Thanks and look forward to interacting with this crazy great community more as I get further down the Arma editing rabbithole :)

This can be done without scripting, simply put the next command in the init type of all the units: this allowDamage false
This doesn't work however when your unit is inside a vehicle that blows up.

Sadly, I think this only adds the explosive device to the unit. I might need to be a bit more specific with my request. I need the unit with the explosives to be able to attach them to a boat from under the water. This works above water fine, just not under water.

Hey there everybody,

I got a really tricky question to all your coders out there:
would you be so kind to do some sort of satellite script or an artificial uav, because I recently made a mission where I,after blowing up some hostile jeeps,have to take Girna and optionally take out mortars so that they cannot support the troops down in Girna village..What I want to do is,after having blown up the jeeps,showing, for about five seconds, some sat-view of the mortar team...Would be kinda cool, but I really don't know how to cope with the "BIS_fnc_establishingShot"-function as I am just a bit advanced in inside editor-coding..
So would be really great to see some solutions for my litte problem..

Hi!

I'm trying to make a helicopter extraction by createVehicle.

1. Player Radios in extraction
2. Helicopter is created nearby the players current location.
3. Picks up player at players current location.
4. Exit to fixed location (HeadQuarters).

I've been using random script created for Arma2 for this without success. Just tried "plannedExtraction.sqf" which almost works. Heli is created. It then land a bit off and when I get to the chopper i can't get in. I seem to have the same problem when I put helicopters on the ground...

Any Ideas?

Hi !
I am playing with ARMA 3 Alpha and this simulation is very promising.
I learned something about scripting while playing with arma 2 CO.
Now I need a simple script to increase the armor of one or more chosen unit (player or ai) by a given amount
Can someone help me ?

This one works, in a trigger :

player addEventHandler ["HandleDamage",{if (_this select 1=="") then {damage (_this select 0)+((_this select 2)/3)}}];

In red, the amount of armor.
It works great in Arma2 and Arma3, but you will almost kill yourself, or other player when you have to heal in Arma3 because damage system is probably different.
