@Barnaby
BIS has said that the new content will be available for the rest via a patch, so dont worry.
I read it in an interview someone posted today, cant remember who/where. But believe me, that was 1 of the Qs.

Thanks - I have asked but still no word - obviously they are all incredibly busy at the moment but looks like your question has been answered anyway!

Also, log in to your account (or register if you haven't already) at www.armedassaultsquad.co.uk as there are some new screenshots and artwork available.

|RE|Warhark, I hope that I am wrong, but it seems to me that you will get your answer when the game is released, the answer

@MetalJacket

I've got a sneaking suspicion you are right. Unfortunately many companies these days look at such things as copyright protection schemes as "sensitive information" and don't like to give that info out ahead of time. Which in and of itself is rather foolish in my opinion as keeping such information is only good until the day of release. This may or may not apply to 505 as I have no idea what their thoughts are on it. If I am right or even partially so it could also be part of their marketing strategy given the unpopularity of Starforce. Whatever the reason you are right, others like myself who are wondering and concerned about the potential use of StarForce in the 505 version are likely going to have to wait to find out. I know for one I will not be making any decision on whether to purchase ArmA from 505 until I know for sure. I suspect with the release date so close now that we won't have long to wait as I am sure ArmA has already gone gold but that is just supposition on my part.

@Metal Jacket

While I would certainly like to have some kind of explanation or answer I don't really expect it. Perhaps Anna will prove us both wrong and be able to get the answer. It certainly is a PR issue no doubt, but in this particular case at the end of the day she is only the messenger. Probably more to the point a very small fish in a tank full of very big sharks, otherwise known as her bosses. One thing I have learned over the years in dealing with PC Game publishers in general is that what we feel is common courtesy often violates what they consider to be good "business practices". I was, and still am, hopeful that 505 wouldn't be like some of the other big fishes like my all time favourite company to hate Electronic Arts and their close seconds now days, UBI. Those two companies alone have demonstrated time and again how not to treat their customer base. One can only hope that 505 will not go down that same path. In the end, time will tell.

|RE|Warhawk, unfortunately what you say is true, EA UBI seem to think that they are invincible; they tend to think that no matter what they say or do there loyal paying public will follow in droves, we the paying public are to blame for letting them get away with it.

Some people tend to forget that the reason for companies to prosper is to convince the customer of its product, if the customer is not happy; it should be known to the company that if it doesn

Just a heads up - 505 will be issuing a press release this week (I have not seen it yet) which will have the final info in. Soon as I get it I will let you know.

Thanks,

Anna
