What u say has sense about the stupid extra content, but anyways i think its just stupid.
IGN does the same thing to entice stupid people to purchase memberships so they can dl demos three days before the rest of the world.
Personally, I'd much rather wait the three days to a week when the servers aren't overloaded.
I do have to say that I really think this whole system of screwing over loyal and longstanding fans of OFP/ArmA so a Publisher can make a few extra bux pocket money is dumb. Just knowing this, I will instead wait for this patch and play with myself (thanks) and then give Atari the money that I may have given to 505.
I really, really hope that 505 and BIS send a bunch of PR folks into the community and gather up some of this feedback. I have a feeling if there's even a hint of game2 being half as screwed as ArmA has been since day one, it may fall flat on its face.
I stick with BI/ArmA because they are a community minded dev. but they really need to get their act together. If you can't show the world some structure in releasing software, does that lack of organization also mean the game is delayed time and time again for the same reason?
Please BIS/505, pull your heads from your rumps and play the game honestly, after all, we ultimately pay your wages.
