Patrol Ops 2 XL

Description:
I wanted to experience patrol ops on a much larger scale, one that emphasizes on teamwork and the use of assets available. Presenting you my first mission, Patrol Ops 2 XL.


Features:
- 51km x 51km map. Air and land assets are crucial for victory.
- non-respawnable vehicles. Instead, replaced by a vehicles inventory.
- Each player leads their own squad.
- AI recruitment always enabled (even if its on Disabled).
- Fully customised air base (based on Who's US Military HQ template)
- Outpost on the outskirt of air base (based on Ei8ght's Outpost 8)


Installation:
Extract the .pbo file(s) to your ArmA2 Operation Arrowhead\MPMissions folder.


Notes:
Mission is still in the alpha's stage as I have not done much testing. I would certainly appreciate any feedback, comments or suggestions given. I have many plans to expand this in the future, to mention a few: bug fixing, having multiple objectives active at once, combining Insurgency module in, OPFOR players (TvT), adding more factions and more enemies. Im also looking at porting this over to Arma 3 in the future providing the conditions are right.

    First of all Id like to express a special thank you to Snake Man for providing some comments, and those who've downloaded and tried the mission.

    Its come to my attention that there is an error dialog "MAP_plot_green_branka" popping up everytime the mission is started. Im currently trying my best to resolve this issue and will release a fix in the near future, providing I have the time to do so. The worst case scenario I can think of is a major redesign of the US Airbase, and especially removing the 'vehicles inventory' feature that I believe is causing low FPS, replacing it with the respawn system.

    I would certainly appreciate any assistance in the development of this mission, especially in terms of alpha/beta testing and the providing of feedback.

    I (we) will post Feedback! Will there be a heli who can transport all sorts of vehicles? This map is so huge, its a pain to drive to far away objects with the slow arma2 tanks. Patrol Ops only can be played with a clan and therefor air support is always there to help out ;) Full ACE Support would be great, healing stuff, weapons and so on. Most clans only play with ace and when you started with ACE you arent willed to go back to simple ;)

    Here are script that could be cool to implement:

    AI dont run at you, stand around anymore when under fire, this is a must! ;)

    Thanks very much for getting back Numrollen!

    I will be adding in a few things in the next release, including extended airlifting capabilities with the choppers & transport aircraft and perhaps the AI enhancement scripts provided above. Also thinking of adding in a Sector Control module and OPFORs to have more objectives active at once and some TvT action. What do you guys reckon?

    Sector Control is a good idea but hard work if also a main mission is active. Think you should do other stuff first (e.g. ACE ;) ).


    A question about the mods: Quite heavy used of other mods, we have some Problems with starting the Mission on our Server.
    We have ags, PMC stuff, light towers and still wont start. we get a "deleted.caweapons.acr" error when selected. Beside that it's not so good if a Mission needs too many addons that are not often used. Hard to bring People to download some unknown stuff that isnt used after this Mission anymore.
