Hello everyone,

I have a scripting question that has been driving me crazy. I have placed an empty helicopter and used the 'moveindriver' script to crew it with a 'woodland camo' pilot.

Unfortunately, this seems to confuse the AI when I use the 'transport unload' waypoint. The helicopter simply hovers over the insertion point and doesn't land to unload its cargo of troops. I think this is because the empty helicopter needs to be 'grouped' together with the pilot unit.

So; how can one attach a pilot and an empty helicopter together? If you know the script, please let me know. I remember doing it successfully once before, but I can't remember what it was. I've searched around for several days for the answer, but I haven't found anything relevant.

Hello everyone,

Does anyone know the answer to this? I want to 'group' an empty vehicle together with some AI units.

Okay thanks. But where would I add this? In the empty vehicle init?

I want to add a pilot and gunner to a helicopter. The empty helicopter is named 'wildcat; and in the pilot init I have:

this assignAsDriver wildcat; this moveInDriver wildcat; F1 = group this;

It should look like this then

drivers init box
this assignAsDriver wildcat; this moveInDriver wildcat; F1 = group this;_F1 addVehicle _vehicle


If I get chance I'll fire up A2 and test it but I'm short of time right now.
