Your bad if you can't wait more. I will release the new version when I decided that it's all done and working. Can be next week (most probably not) or December 2016. Somewhere in between that I would say.

At the moment I redo all UI pictures (portraits, map and commandbar icons). Then there is a dozen Expansions which must be updated and tested to make sure all changed paths are okay. So yeah, it will take a while. In the meantime you still can play with v1.01 cause except some minor changes, it will be the same as 1.02. ;-)

Hello! I'm new here , i really love the CWR2 mod! Awesome job guys!

The only thing i didn't like was the nvg, specially with black ops guys.. BIS NVG (PVS 7) really breaks the immersion of being in the '80s that OFP gave us.

So... i'm working on making a new one my self (WIP model 90% , texture 80 % ) , a PVS-5A like the one on OFP , here it is:

The problem is ARMA 2 sucks for nvgs.. you can't create a new nvg for standard units but you can for modded units by just changin the NVG proxy on the 3d model.
I've made a config.cpp for adding it as a weapons and , at least , putting it in game and see it on the ground.
In the next day i'll try to put it as glasses to find the right scale for the heads but i can't do better than this..
So , if you guys are intrested in this PVS-5A let me know , i can give you 3d model and textures so you can update US units.

After finishing this i think i'll go for the PNW57 for the pleasure of the rusky fans.

Looks pretty good indeed. The only real problem is that then all our human models must be updated again. That would be ~60 units with 4-5 LODs each. And I'm not even speaking about the expansions. :-D

But yeah, would definitely include it when it's ready to use and has no bugs.

Good news! So , I have plenty of Christmas time in front of me, I hope to be able to finish the 3d model soon and try to use it as glasses at least to adjust scale.

After that i'll send you everything and get to work on the Rusky one.

Added 2 hours 20 minutes later:

Oh well , put it as glasses was easier than expeted... scale adjusted , need new retention bands ... i thought that the head was smaller. :-|

Needs a better texture for sure!

OK we are almost ready! Just a little texture tweak and it's done!

I've made a working PBO with the PVS-5A as glasses and included all the unbinarized files i used.

I've put 2 configs:

- 1 for glasses for see it in the profile editor menu
- 1 for the real NVG ( with "weapon" PVS-5A and working icon). I think he could be working as is with a unit with the nvg proxy named "PVS5A"

Let me know if everything is ok.

In the next days i'll make the PNW57.

As far as I know you have to change only the name of the proxy itself. But maybe you know more than me about this...

As you can see, the headbands need some work. They are too thin and edged. Eventually you could use the headbands from the BI sample NVGs and use them instead.

Yeah I know that you only have to change the proxy name, still it has to be done a hundred times with all the many units there are now. Could be done with Mikero's Tools eventually, but I'm not sure if they don't screw the models up since he doesn't update the free tools anymore and I sure as hell will not pay him to provide a free Mod.

Not sure if I want to add another boomstick but as always, I can change my mind quickly so feel free to pass me the mlod and textures if you want. :-)
