name is Kryptonite! member of the ECS TEAM.I see that the mod was loacted.please enjoy the mod the ECS TEAM has a server up for 12 players."27th connecticut company D".you may use the server to game on .just remember to join the ECS server the only mod allowed is the ECS mod.any other files other than ECS files will not let you join the server. all other questions please go to our website and we can help you there.the ECS mod was made for our own enjoyment within a small group of guys who love to game.

Hi Kryptonite!.


Thanks for posting in the forums. I havent been able to try and use the ECS mod myself yet but from what I have heard you and your team did an excellent job with creating a great new experience with Arma.
Are you guys still working on newer versions?

as of right now the ECS mod is complete,i cannot say what is in store for the future,as for any updates that is a question also that has to be discussed with the ECS team.

Did you read the BI forum topic? In there people are posting all kind of solutions to different problems (link is at the end of the download page).



@Kryptonite!
I forgot to ask you if its ok with you (and your team) we added the XEH update for the ECS_core.pbo as an optional download in our news item? To fix some issues with other addons.
We wont include those in the original files, just an extra download possibility.

hi foxhound,
its hard for the ECS team to stop any of the modifications that are being done to the program files now.so even if the ECS team was not in agreement with it.that would not stop it.its hard to get all of the ECS team together to talk about issues that pertain to the mod.we are all busy doing other important matters now.so all that i ask of the arma community is that please give the ECS MOD TEAM the credit of all the work that was done.i will do my best to stay on top of this posts that deal with the mod and any other questions that may arise.

feel like i'm missing out on it nowe..can get it to run with vanilla arma ..won't work with beta 1.09 for me, or QG

this sucks

however when i had it going on vanilla..had no tracers?? blew a tank up there was no special effects i've read about what is going on..any ideas anyone??

hi rodders
try to run the ECS mod with the org files from arma.the ECS mod runs with no issues when running as a standalone.i know that alot of players want to run ECS with others addons.you can come across issues on the files working together.ECS was developed to enhance the arma game without messing with the org files from the game,so you have a smoothe gameplay.any info that you need to know about ECS is in the readme file within the ECS mod,or check the website http://www.ecsteam.online.fr/index.php, for trouble shooting.

damn right i'm interested sounds an awsome mod:D...but why when i had it running on vanilla did i not get the tracers and tank second explotion effects?? was i tryiny the wrong missions i just tried "convoy attack" in single missions?? do i need to be online, on your server to get the effects..

also my machine runs arma better now i'm on beta 1.9 i.e no crashing, 1.08 caused me allsorts of probs... however ECS won't run with that on mine??(that being beta1.09) is this right?? if so are you going to update for the official 1.09??

sorry for all this but this mod sounds really good...i would like to start building missions using it

:D

P.S i'm a total noob when it comes to cfg files and unpboing files really...i know nothing, am just getting to grips with the very basics on the editor..

try this do not run the ecs mod with vanilla and the ecs mod is campatible with 1.09.when you use the ecs mod in sp mode ecs runs your computer as if it was a server.make sure you do not have any other addons running with the ecs mod.make it clean.try to game with the ecs mod on a server that hosts the mod ecs mod team has a server"27th connecticut company D".

nope still no joy :(

it runs on my 1.08 arma no addons.. but won't run on 1.09 still comes up with same error

"Error compiling pixel shader PSNormalDXTA"

so i'll have to admit defeat..also updated all drivers on my system..and flashed my bios on M/board..not that it makes much differance..yet still no joy...gutted

Hi Kryptonite, I used to run FDF_Sound alone to play MP. Now I run ECS with FFN, Robert Hammer wpns, marpat marines, along with some environ mods like brownwater, sky replacement, autumn plants when playing Evolution. Love love love it.

Is there any plans to add viewdistance/airviewdistance to the ECS menu on "Esc" TOW missiles are effective out to 3km in game, and ECS has killed that to the default 1.2km.
