I was developing some KartZ for some time and had made a track to practice on , although my KartZ are not finished and Faster than BIS karts (my KartZ are not included ) ,hence the width of the track and length , i thought i would release it as an Alpha for people to have fun on , with the extra Modules and barriers with Karts avaialable for those that have DLC i guess people can make some good tracks , however the terrain does NOT need Karts from Bis and for others the track is wide enough for any vehicle .
A pre Warning
Like all my terrains they are not designed for Beauty but practicality for a certain type of gameplay, so please respect that any critique reffreing to aesthetics will usually be ignore , however good advice and suggestion will always be taken on board ;)

Video contains only Editor placed Karts assets and they are not required
The Land off track is designed to Punish and will slow cars down considerably after _x meters of travel

Known Bugs
Not any known Bugs but Tools are very unstavle at the moment so anything could happen
This terrain was Built using Stable 1.20

Installation
The download contains 3 Files :
DBo_island ( contains detail textures for Ground)
Dbo_track (contains the wrp and Roads n Layers)
dbo_track_cfg (contains the config)
all are contained within @DBO/addons please follow Armaholic A3 @folder instructions

I meant BIS future Roadmap for Arma 3 , they released a Press thing about DLC and Steam Workshop for Tools and Uploading ET AL, i didnt see something about Non Steam Path for site like this , but i`m sure you have it covered.

Just a note about the trees, maybe it would look more like a race track so to speak with simple pines, more man made, also maybe if there were more clumps of forested area as opposed to total coverage at least on the inside of the track with the inclusion of some sheds?

Maybe some lookout posts around the track as in marshals area.

Anyway appreciate the track and having a blast on it :)

EDIT* actually maybe the forest is all good on second run around, something about it though? anyway the rock feature works, how about a few more visual references, how about some street lamps for night racing :D

Anyway not sure if you are going to continue working on it or anything but yeah, thanks again.

I understand what you mean and i beleieve the problem is that the Genus of trees would not be seen in the same place together so the palms and Pines and Decidous trees together with the reeds /Bamboo are a little usettling for a trained eye :)

However i am a lazy maker and simply draw a box and tell the tool please put a mic of all trees and shrubs ;)
I like the IDea of the MArshal areas but i was trying to create a Blank canvas , i learned previous that this communtiy has a very varied taste and my likes are not always theres :).

However if its roads or a few trees i am willing to make CLan or server variations no problem all people ahe to do is start the game and goto map

if they draw on that any specific changes i would be willing to make them within reason .

I am going to Burm some of the landscape and may even try to Burm a section of the rtack but i wont have plans to release an update for a few months and even then it will try and not change anythingthat will effetc any missions made on it lol (try)

Testing Some Chevron signs for better highlighting which track is used and where to go , Plus looking at some inclines .

Nah mate haha, i completely disagree (for selfish reasons) and think you should create the track how you would like it and the rest of us can request/suggest ideas, a blank canvas is track and grass (which would be cool as canvas)

Im half ass joking, look forward to any update, also are you gonna release your karts, can i request formula 1 class :D

The whole Kart thing is a great side track from Semper Fi!! even better we can do it in the same game, look forward to any updates, and i think this is my 7th post on Armaholic in 4-5 years :D

That's OK Katipo you make up for it on the BIS forums *ROFL*

@deanos - there is a marshal unit in game and also some animations (like waving arms to show direction at intersection). If you check out the Kart missions by DNA_UK you will see what I mean (perhaps you already know this...if so then sorry ;-) )

i was going to make a DLC Compatible version and put a smaller track in the middle , i can use them now :), although i probably get Hung drawn and quartered for making DLC ddependant haha
