Hello guys! My very first post in here Armaholic is a question for scripters.

I've been googling and searching for a way to download files from internet to the server computer or mission directory with a script or maybe you could execute .sh file to wget http://example.com/files/htmlfile.html?
Please discuss about this and tell me how could you possibly make this? Some break through stuff right here guys.
I am going to find a way to do this somehow.

I could do a cronjob to download the files to some directory but how could you see if there are new files in there then to use them in game with a script.

Thank you for every answer you got for me :)

I'd used the @inidbi addon.

Regardless of that though, the easiest way would be to use the cronjob and generate some sort of index-file that simply tells your server what files are available.

As far as directly loading remote files in ArmA is concerned, that is only possible via an extension. You can read more on that here: http://killzonekid.com/arma-extension-url_fetch-dll-v2-0/

There are a lot of very capable people on this forum, willing to spend some of their time to help you out. So if you have a problem, it surely isn't too much to ask that you atleast take the time to describe it properly. Thanks.

All right that will help me a bit.

What about could you make new files with sqf then?
