Hey hows it going. I was active Army for 3 years, now in the reserves. I plan on going back to the active side here soon. My brother and a couple of his buddies play, they are also in the Army as 11Bs. It's pretty comparable to the real thing when you have a squad that communicates well with each other and has some background in tactical movement. The U.S. Army actually uses VBS (Virtual Battle Space) which is exactly like ARMA to train soldiers how to move together as a squad.
On a differant note other than Prior Miitary playing ArmA it was brought to my attention last night by one of our clan members (AGE) that Robin Williams plays ArmA 2. Wonder which server and what name he goes by....LOL.

Active duty Marine here. 2141.
The AAV7P in Arma 2 was alright. A few things off, however.
The turret can not move as smoothly as it did in game.
In real life we have a third bench we put in the troop compartment (they portrayed it still hung in the interior)
The weapon optics were wrong.
You could climb and drive at much steeper inclines.
The bow plane was automatic and the vehicle had a smaller water displacement.
Other than that I was very impressed the detail Bohemia put into their model. Every fire extinguisher was there and the vehicle handling for the most part felt realistic enough.
Now someone just needs to make an AAV7 for Arma 3...
