What he means it's that a mission .pbo file its just a folder containing several files. That folder is packed as .pbo file (like if u had done it on .rar, .zip, ...).

So u have to unpack it (unpbo it) to access to those files.

And I am just curious, now that you actually can see the folder.........so you see a file called "description.ext"?
If so, change the respawn type. Save the document. Pbo the file again and try it on your server. (make sure you use this new mission file, not the old one).

oh yes i see that file i will try it later because i need to school now :) thanks for help i will test it later. How can i make it a .pbo file again?

ok it works i have chance the respawn to ''base'' but when i died i respawn where they shot me down but i whant to respawn in a base what im doing wrong?

Just a note to all:

The respawnType "Side" or "5" does not work, and merely reverts to "Group".

If using respawnType "Group" then respawnDelay does not work.


davidoffo, to answer your question about respawnType "Base", you need to read the wiki entry for "description.ext". In there it mentions that you need to create a marker on the map for your corresponding side. The location of that marker is where you will respawn.

any updates on that post? I dont know how to make this description.ext and i do not want to copy anything from evolution... since they are too advanced

Just open a new text document (with notepad), select "save as", set it to all file types and as name give it "description.ext".
Click save and now you have made yourself a description.ext file.
A more easy way would be to get the description.ext out of any other mission and delete the contents, save it and add your own stuff in it ;)
