Welcome to No Cure an Arma 3, open world, quest driven survival modification . (Single player)
In 2017 the asteroid named Mortifera 71 began its collision course with earth.
As Mortifera 71 drew closer to earth Governments around the world decided to nuke it in an attempt to destroy it or reduce its size.
This resulted in a cataclysmic disaster breaking Mortifera 71 into thousands of smaller meteorites that showered the earth causing utter destruction to most major cities and our planet’s surface.
In the wake of the disaster the climate effects where detrimental Earth was shrouded in a dust layer plunging the planet into complete darkness.
Communications across the planet failed and governments lost control as humanity fell into panic mass killings /starvation /and a breakdown of medical systems left behind a broken world.
Several years on as the dust began to lift a dark and daunting horror began to manifest. The asteroid contained water within its core, the water was host to a bacteria unlike anything we have ever seen.
When Mortifera 71 was split by the nukes the bacteria thriving water was spread into the earth’s ozone and all across the planet’s surface.
The effects are devastating, mutating most living things only the stronger immune systems manage to scrape through.
The shattered world now consists of factions and colts banded together from survivors of all kinds desperately trying to cling on to existence at whatever cost….
And on top of everything…. Something dark and sinister is rising from the old world…Pure evil is coming.
Let chaos take its place.

Loot system providing what you need to survive but not with out challenge
Building system from small camps and barricading buildings to full blown settlement building. Fancy building an entire town â€¦no problem.
Dialog interaction system Pick up quests / recruit followers / learn information/ and much more
Crafting and farming system
Mother nature is your best friend, most food and survival essentials can be obtained from her
Living off the land is a must.
Ulak a fictional 40K terrain set just north of Alaska

Finished building the interaction system allowing you to interact via a nice menu and choose paths to take your conversation down with that unit. This will also be how you get quests in the world via talking to people through this system.

Currently adding new textures to weapons to give them a more weathered effect to increase immersion.
only a few so far got a lot to do!

Dog companion added
You will find random dogs around the game world that you can tame with food.
The dog can be ordered to follow the player/ wait here / return to a defined location set as the dog’s home.
Set dogs speed and aggressions
Dog will look for animals on the map and circle them while barking (if you ignore this and move on the dog will
follow you if you move 50 meters from the animal)
Loot system completely re designed
Loot will not spawn on the ground anymore it will be found via searching objects
Nearly every container and static object can be search such as lockers/cabinets/desk/barrels/trash piles / refrigerators / wrecks / bins / wardrobes / boxes and much more
Can be searched as above or used in some cases working vending machines can be used by entering money and receiving a drink
Will also play a vending sound and animations of player entering money into it.
New weather system
Heavy storms / snow region specific /
Survival system updated
Added temperature effects
Now if you’re in cold clothing and in cold weather conditions you will get cold
Or normal clothing and really bad weather will make you cold
With shaking screen effects and eventually death
You can warm up by fire or slowly by taking cover in buildings.
Also getting wet will make you cold.
Hunger and thirst now finished
Find sleeping bags or buy them or use beds you come across to sleep in
If you get to tired you will get fatigued and see screen effects like shaking or blurriness
If you let you rest get to 0 (exhausted) you will pass out laving you vulnerable to bandits steeling you prised possessions,
Animals can be found everywhere
Sheep/dogs/goats can be shot and once kill you can "Gut" them and get meat from them that can then be cooked.
Chickens can be shot and their dead bodies can be carried in you inventory and gutted and cooked by double clicking them
Fish /Rabbits can be shot or captured in improvised traps and then carried in the players inventory and doubled clicked to skin and cooked
Birds to come...
Seeds can be found and planted into the ground
They will need watering and will grow into corn that you can carry in your inventory and eat by double clicking.
More verity to come.
Ambient horror effects
Added some messed up freaking sounds at night,
Not going to give too much away here you’ll need to work out what is a sound file playing and what is actually someone running up behind you ;)
All food and drink items will have a description of their purpose and usage
And can be double clicked from the inventory screen to use them
Along with medical items / tools (for building stuff not yet built this system)
Hammer (currently can only build a work bench from this)
Matches to light fires if you also have wood
Ability to repair vehicles if needed with given parts if you have found them
Player’s health has been improved via event handlers
You can now take a few more hits than normal before you die
You will also hit the deck and bleed out and then eventually die. In this state you can move prone very slowly
Might still remove this feature.
Decided that No Cure is to have a new terrain purposely built for the mod.
Not much to say on it right now
will be mostly cold environments/ heavily overgrown and abandoned.
Will be about 4 times the size of namalsk
I have never even looked at terrain building before so 1st time for everything.
creating a new map will allow me to really give you a poas apoc world as apose to Eden placed objects that just kill FPS on a large scale.

but I will be making a stream lined Co op version after this single player version is completed.
Well it is about 50% finished got a lot of Gui work to do and the quests system and some more map work , but I am learning as I create it. it will be a couple more months before its playable. Thank you for showing interest :)

But its getting there I would say another 2 months it should be complete. Its a big job and it's just me :D
