There are many questions that I need to have answered before I begin an actual campaign/story driven mission series, that is actually kind of polished, rather than the small scale mockups I've done as a pasttime.
I'm planning on recreating the conflict on Altis, but with some major changes. Firstly, the player will be a special forces operator (or Ranger) that was stationed on Stratis as a Quick Reaction Force, that gets caught up in the war.
I have multiple SF in mind currently, the 75th Ranger, Delta Force, Navy SEALs, or SFOD detachment Alpha.
I am planning on using Jarrad96's SF units, as his are of a high standard at the cost of a heap of mod requirements.
NOW THE QUESTIONS:
1. Which SF unit do you guys see most likely to engage CSAT on Altis/Stratis? Delta are counter-terrorism so I can't really imagine them fighting a foe like CSAT (that feels more like Rangers, SFODA, or SEALS, however Jarrad hasn't released SFODA, as I'm aware of)
2. Which SF unit would you think is more of a jack-of-all-trades? Missions I'm planning include recon, assault, direct action, as well as supporting large scale "conventional" offensives. (To me, Rangers feels like the jack of all trades here, although I see less about Ranger recon elements though. SFODA is what would be helping the FIA out, and SEALs seems like a surgical strike unit to me.)
3. And lastly, is suppressors a must? I like both suppressed and unsuppressed, but feel like they each have their pros and cons and I personally cannot decide.
This is alot to read and all but any help or advice is appreciated, I have little knowledge of the SF units and the internet isn't very helpful either when it comes to your Special Forces, especially when governments are trying to keep them secret (which I respect them for, although they aren't doing a very good job overall besides the details that I NEED)
