Im pretty new to modding and wanted to do some custom uniforms and other equipment for my unit. So far ive added retextured versions of the NATO Combat fatigues and Combat Helmets. The thing im trying to figure out is how to get the vests to use the stats and values of already existing assets in the game. Ive gotten around this problem by creating a new vest and using the model through the A3 folders. Unfortunately, i had to set the values myself which makes them not have the same armour value as the asset its based on.

Is there a way to tell the asset to use another assets stats? I succeeded with doing this with a custom beret and a Boonie but it seems it doesnt work with vests and other assets which have armour values.

TL;DR Is there a way to tell my assets to use the stats, values and models without having to write in the values for each retexture?
