Man, my single core computer is getting more and more out of date every day! I saw a computer in WALMART sitting in the middle isle that costs 400 bucks that is better then mine. I may have to start thinking about upgrading if I want to play arma 2 or any other new game for that matter. I've had my current computer for 8 yeras I'm kind of attached to it : ( I've considered upgrading the mobo/gpu,cpu/ramm but I don't honestly know if I'm capalbe of something like this. Also my dvd/cd/harddrive are all pretty old, I duno if a newer mobo will accept them, but alas I'm veering mostly off topic here.
If anything I doubt the specs will increase, they may actually decrease. The better a game is coded the less the requirments are normally.
"God, please bless our troops as they go into battle, and please plague our enemies with equipment malfunctions and mechanical failures.”
I can run the current ArmA fine. Its the A.I. that start to drain the performance for me. The bigger the maps and conflicts, the more I start to experience sound stutters and what not. I just hope they've worked to make the A.I. in ArmA II less stressful on the system

And just before someone asks, the releasedates:
Germany, Austria, Switzerland: May, 29th
Czech Republic: June 17th
Rest of Europe: June 26th
North America: TBA
Rest of World: TBA
Oh cool, my system can run it, my big hope though is that it's WAAAY more optimized than arma since arma was (and still is) shaky on a lot of middle-hardware
i'm going to upgrade seeing as my pc was probably outdated the day i got it...
would i be able to run this on high with
intel q8200 core 2 quad prcessor 2.33 ghz 4mb L2
geforce 8800
4gb ddrii ram
Well this sucks :( Won't be able to run ARMA 2 and been waiting for this game since it got announced :((
Stupid graphics card is one model out of the min requirments. Had same problem with ARMA 1 when it came out. So not fair :(
I'm sort of glad that the ArmA II release in the U.S. is a bit slower. It gives me a little bit of time to upgrade so when it actually does release I'll be able to go out and get it no problem
