Logitech Attack 3 is a nice cheap joystick, and has everything you need, except for rudder control. And it only set me back 30AUD, and I have had no problems with it for the 5 years I've had it. With the Thrust however, I find it better to use the keyboard Q/Z when in a Chopper as it is hard to find a 'Neutral' power to get the chopper to land, not climb or fall out of the sky when using the in-built joystick thrust lever

Never had problems finding power setting for hover here. Did you adjust the sensitivity and null zone for that joystick?

I am fear.

I plugged it in and good ol' microsoft installed it for me, no fiddling with sensitivity or null zones.
My 'neutral' power setting is about 3/8 up the Z-Axis. If its any higher i climb automatically, very annoying if you want to fly under 5 metres pernamently, and any lower I drop, bad for your health.

It's probably just the joystick
