EDIT FOR RELEASE: Evolution Resistance 0.5

Im Ready now with the NAPA Version of the popular Evolution Gamemode.Rank System is fully working,edited by me for use with NAPA.The Rank requirements are set lower,cause the Napa dont have so strong Vehicles like a M1A2 Tusk.90% of all Vehicles und Weapons are avaible with Rank 4.Many Stuff on Rank 2 and 3 too.I added Vehicles and Weapon that Napa normally cant use,specialy Airplanes and Choppers.(all Mi24 Versions for example)

Changes compared to USMC Evolution:
-New NAPA Rank System with Ranks like Warlord or Field Commander
-New Artillery System: Players who are Gunner in a Artillery Unit,will have an Menu Entry namend: Aim Artillery
-The 3 Farps are now Arillery Positions and FARPS
-New Heavy Weapon Carriers: Ammo Trucks with Ability to load/unload Mortars.Pickups can transport Kord MG Tripods.**
-First Aid System from Singleplayer build in.When wounded badly but not deadly,you can get first Aid by a other Player.
Players can drag or carry wounded to Safety
-Artillery Observers can deploy a D30 Field Gun when close to a Ammo Truck.Field Gun got Sabot Ammo and HE Shells. *
-Players can deploy Static Weapons,depending on their Weapon (when not in Base) *
-Good Working Parachute Jump (i added a new script) from 10k Altitude.Players can move in freefall,like Diving for more Speed.
When the Chute is opened it is controllable.Parachute Position accesable trough Radio Antenna in Base
-Brdm HQ Spawnvehicles: Players can teleport to BRDM HQ,when close to Radio Antenna in Base a Menu will apear.
-40mm Grenade Launcher Smoke and Flares added (for example,one could shoot a red smoke shell to a enemy strongpoint,to show Pilots where to Attack,or shoot a Green Smoke to show the Pilot the Position of Friendly Troops.
-All RPG7 Warheads
-Civilian Cars and Civil Life added.
-Some Versions have "Combat-Area" Module enbaled.There will be Random Enemy Patrols,Air Patrols too.
-Some Versions have High Commander who can acces the Commander Menu (CTRL+SPACE)

** = Based on the Load-On-truck Script from Norrin,edited by me
I made 8 different Versions:

Version A: standard Version Version A_LB: Standard Version with AH6 and MH6 Littlebids (from Cyborg11 and JehzusScreams)
Version B: Combat Area Enabled (Random Enemys,like Air Patrols) Version B_LB got the Littlebirds
Version C: High Command Version.A new Player (Warlord) is the High Commander,all others Players will show up in High Command Command Bar when the Warlord press Ctrl+Space,there he can give Varios Orders.
Version C_LB: Version C with Littlebirds
Version D: High Command and Combat Area Enabled Version D_LB: Version D with Littlebirds.

For the Littlebirds Version are 2 Addons needed,there in the Mappack File included.You can Download them too at Armaholic
You need the Littlebirds from Cyborg11 and the NAPA Reskin from JehzusScreams.

This sounds interesting.

Have you played all of Arma2 yet? Reason I ask is that I think the 3rd mission has a VERY similar feel to Evolution on the original Arma game...

The 3rd Mission?? From the Campaign?? I dont know why it should be simmiliar to Evolution? Isnt it a Night Mission ??

To Evolution - Resistance

Everything from Original Evolution changed,Rank System fully Working now,with Vehicles and Weapons.
New Stuff added:

-Artillery Map Aim build in,Player can sit in a Mortar or Artillery Gun and then use the Acion Menu Entry "Aim Artillery",then a map will apear and show the Impact Point.All Farp Positions are now Artillery Places too.
-Players can use BRDM HQ´s as Mobile Spawntruck
-Players can use a good working (Chute wont hang in air,Player can move in freefall,like diving for more Speed) Halo Jump
-Players can sit on Apcs and selected Vehicles
-Players can build some static Weapons
-Players can transport Mortars and Kord Tripods with Pickups and Ammo

At the moment im Adding AH6 Littlebirds Addon,think this would be a good Napa Plane :)

Release will be tommorow,when no problems slows me down.

I have made different Versions of Evolution Resistance

Version A: Normal Version
Version A_LB: Normal Version with AH-6 and MH-6 Littlebirds (Addons needed)
Version B: "Kampfumgebung" (i think translation would be "Combatarea or Combatzone") Module included.
There will be randomly spawned enemys,like Air Patrols and more.Its more difficult.
Version B_LB: Version B with Littlebirds
Version C: High Commander Version (1 Player,a Warlord,is the High Commander,he can use the High Commander Menu known from Singleplayer (Ctrl+Space opens the High Command),all other Players will apear in High Command Menu as Unit,and the High Commander can give varius orders.Its recommended that the Warlord knows how the High Command works.
Version C_LB: Version C with MH-6 and AH-6
Version D : High Command and Combatzone activated
Version D_LB: Version D with Littlebirds

The Littlebird Versions need the Addons "Littlebird" from Cyborg11 and the Napa-Reskin from JezhusScream.
I edited the 2 Addons,so only 1 needed.This edited Littlebird is included in Map Download.Otherwise you need
Both Addons (you can download at Armaholic).The Skins from JerzhusScream are great,looks realy good as Napa Plane.

To all the Addon Makers: I like addons,and i will include them in my Maps,or make 2 versions,1 with and 1 without Addon.
It would be cool if someone could make me some stuff (look for the Tread "Addonmakers needed" )



All Versions have the "Bring wounded to Safety" and "First Aid" Modules activated.Civilians and Civil Cars included too.

I removed the Ability to sit on Tanks,cause i dont know how to add the init,when the Units are spawned by Script.Perhaps i find out Later.Atm i writing new Briefings,then the Maps are ready to release :)

Sounds great. Is this online multiplayer? Only I enjoyed Evolution on ArmA in single player mode. I played the full campaign about 4 times on single player!

Hello,
It was planned for Multiplayer.But when you use the High Command Version,you can play it in Singleplayer too,cause every unit is listed in the High Command Command Bar (shows when ctrl+space are pressed).

Im Ready now with the Maps,i try to edit the First Post,so people find it more easy.

Hi, how exactly do I download this file from filehosting.at? The Rapidshare link doesn't work and I don't understand the language on filehosting.at (German?).

Not sure we can host any evolution modded version.

Kiljoy didn't allow anyone to edit and release any modded version of Evolution.

Not sure what happens in ArmA but before we can move on we need to know what he thinks.

I tried hosting this on one of my servers but found it to be unstable.

While the server keeps running players where locking up mainly after getting shot

Ok I really need help with this one.

Firstly, can it be more user friendly? The missions screen shows a list of Evolution games but the titles scroll past the edge of the window and you can't see what they are.

Also I only managed to start one of these;


I'm obviously missing loads of stuff. Can we have direct links in the instructions for download?


There are NO instructions. When I start there's a load of men, I can jump into one of them using the Map menus and I can start in a parachute (YAY!!!). I also found I couldn't save and got killed VERY quickly and so had to start from scratch all over.

I LOVED Evolution in ArmA1 Single Player, this seems like there's a lot more to it but it is WAAAAY over my head as how to play !!!!

Hello,thx for the Interest of this Map.

There different Versions of the Map.The Missing Files you noticed is the Napa Reskin for the Littlebird.I edited the needed Addons and added them to Mapdownload Archive.
But only the Versions with MH6 and AH6 Littlebird needs this Addons.

I will fix the names too.

Can you describe exactly what happens when "player locks up"?? I think it could be a problem with a Eventhandler when it happens when players get shot.


PS: As i made this Map,i knew much less about Arma editing than i know now.I will look over everything and release a new fixed version then.In my first Maps,i didnt knew the problems some Modules can cause when played Online.I will remove them too if necesary.(Like the First Aid and drag to Safety,Xeno told me i shouldnt use this,cause i would cause Server-Errors.)

I looked trough the Scripts and found a big Error.I used a Wrong Name in many of the Scripts.One of them is a "killed" eventhandler.I think that caused the Error when Player die.Hmm i will replace the Bad Word (wrong Faction Name,i used "NAPA" instead of "Resistance".I think thats the Problem),lets see if that fixes the Problem.

Questions about Evolution on ArmA2 - started playing a game and got 3 ranks up before I had to go to the 'real world' :)
Is there an FAQ / Manual? I'd like to know if it's possible to do side-missions in order to boost your progress before you start scrapping in the middle of it all...
