Hey guys, I,m running a steam install. I've put the community base mods in the main arma 2 directory as well as added the mod parameter to my program shortcut. I've tried several mods but it doesn't look like they're working. As a simple example I've tried the @MWVD mod because it claims to have a visual interface which pops up in game. It doesn't ever show up. I know that the game is using the startup parameters because one of the .pbo files in the community base mod returns an error at startup because it wants some other file unrelated to MWVD.
Beyond the startup error for that one .pbo however, there is no evidence of the other mods working. Any ideas why? thanks.
Typical shortcut parameter looks like: -mod=@CBA; @DVD. I'm working from memory here since I'm away from my pc currently. Thanks.
Ooops... big big question. Will these mods work with vanilla ARMA 2 or do I need to have either ARMA CO --OR-- ARMA OA installed before the mods will work? If so is CO necessary at all since I already have the vanilla install? Can I buy JUST OA and install it with my vanilla Steam ARMA 2? thanks.
