# [2.8] Do not start threads relating to discussions on other boards
What happens in this forum should stay in this forum and vice versa, conversations other than those strictly relating to ArmA matters should not be brought into these forums from others.

Please stop discussing what happened on the BI forums and move on. Talk about this great project and what it will bring instead :)

Do you plan on adding things like the 40 Commando and their amphibious assaults?

Chinook, Yes we have our own Model we will be using, and we are also working on a new Cargo Loading, underslung method for it too.

40 Commando, may come later, we are mainly just concentrating on a complete "British Faction" for now though.

I wouldn't get overly excited about pecoc tbh :) Mod looks pretty good lads. Which makes me want to break out Oxygen again and make some more British things xD and don't kill Woodland DP!!!

Just a question guys.. are you going to be making the Jackle? and other light based
vehicals etc? .. and I hope your chinnok will be having the rear gunner as in real life, and not
just the side gunners?

Cool mod though, cant wait for this one ..

To answer a few Q's:

PECOC - will come eventually, I visit ATDU (Army Trials & Development Unit) once a week or so as part of my job, and they are across the road from my camp. Its not 100% what exactly is will consist of so I am awaiting a firm set up.

MTP - is done and ingame, but we will keep desert and DPM too, so 3 flavours.

Chinook will have GPMG Gunner at rear - likewise with our Merlin.

@ Yenk - everyone in theater is being issued MTP Clothing initially, this is happening now. Then it will be issued to lads not on Ops. After that, and once the current equipment stocks have depleted they will produce webbing etc in MTP - this will be a fair while yet, until then its Desert/DPM equipment, hence I made that call.

Jackal, is being worked on now, along with Mastiff and a few others.

Gurk - pm me if you fancy getting Oxygen fired up some time in the future.

Not quite, on RAF Chinooks and Merlins its the 7.62mmx51mm L7A2 GPMG, your talking about the US ones pal.

Have been on many of these over the years on Ops.

Nah, got that little nugget off a Chinook rear gunner.

Royal Air Force:
The Chinook is well equipped with defensive aids and has a Radar Warning Receiver, an Ultraviolet and Doppler Missile Approach Warning System, infrared jammers and chaff and flare dispensers, which can be manually or automatically fired. The aircraft can be armed with two M134 six-barrelled Miniguns, one in each front side window, and an M60D machine gun on the ramp.

Just read a book by Major Mark Hammond, A RM pilot who flew Chinooks in Afghanistan circa 06 - 07. His (RAF) chinook was equipped with the M60 on the ramp (With referrence photos). So they must've changed the loadout of them.

UK Chinooks are only certified to fly with M136 miniguns (doors only) and/or M60D. There is no mount in the RAF inventory for the M2 or M3M .50 to fit the Chinnok door or ramp.

GPMG/L7AX aren't certified for use on Chinooks. One of our tech advisors is a Chinook Loadmaster, we've had all the gen off him with pics and a guided tour. There is a huge back story to the M60's, i dont remember it all but it revolved around a deal for the Chinooks complete with miniguns. They didnt have the miniguns available at the time so we ended up with M60s as a stop gap. They proved to be so good they didnt get replaced with the latest version of the GPMG. Now they are a legacy item its probable they wont be replaced until they die.

When Dave gets online i'll get him to post the full story if you like.

Hey guys, just reading up on the progress, mod is looking great. Do you know know when you will be posting another WIP report on the mod?

Thanks again for all your hard work, can't wait to play PR in ArmA2.
