Only one question. Why are there no save option. Me and my friends have had a sweel time playing Domination over a few days, but now there are no save options WHY?
It worked fine before...
Johnny F.
you need to set it to presitant in the server files so the map stays as is when it is empty and not reset it self.
Many thanks for the release top class work Kudos Xeno
That sounds fine. Anyone who could tell me exactly how to do this???
Thx.
Johnny F.
Add (or update) the following section to the server.cfg file...
persistent = 1; // If 1, missions still run on even after the last player disconnected.
Read this page for more info about various server settings:

Thanks, and that sounds easy. Unfortunately i can find the server.cfg file at any place in my C:/ map. I may have misunderstood something or maybe im just a bit stupid but please help me!!!
Johnny F
If you don't have a SERVER.CFG file in your game directory (i.e., "C:\Program Files\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA 2\server.cfg") then...
1.) create a text file using Notepad
2.) paste in the "Example Configuration File" section from the link below, and
3.) save it as "server.cfg" ....just make sure that Notepad doesn't automatically add the TXT file extension!
That should be enough to get you going. Hope that helps!
Just to make things a bit easier, here's a very minimal server.cfg file to get you started...
FYI - Anything from a pair of slash characters (i.e, //) through the end of the line is considered a comment.
I really appreciate all your help. But i have no knowledge of the back of Arma2. I have copied the server.cfg from Zonker3210 to my main ARMA2 map, but no change are happening. When i restart Domination2 it still starts all over.
Maybe i am asking for too much, but please make it simpel and tell me what exactly to do?
I guess server.cfg is automatic run when you start your game!!!
Thx
Johnny F.
First of all, did you remember to add the following line to the server.cfg file?
persistent = 1; // If 1, missions still run on even after the last player disconnected.
Second, to make sure that the server uses the configuration file, you need to update your server's startup parameters to specify the file...
"C:\Program Files\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA 2\arma2oaserver.exe" -config=server.cfg
The preceding info should be enough to get you up & running with a basic server but ultimately you're going to have to actually RTFM and learn what different settings do. This is a good starting point:

Yes. Now i have the line.:
persistent = 1; // If 1, missions still run on even after the last player disconnected.
So i added.:
"C:\Program Files\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA 2\arma2oaserver.exe" -config=server.cfg
to my arma20aserver.exe.
Now i can't start the game.
A small box pops up with some information, but the game dosen't start. I believe i'm doing something wrong and that it probably is a small and stupid error, but i know not much of all this...
Help?
DjankoDK.
@Xeno, can you make a light version of Domination mode for the ARMA II OA Demo ?
@DjankoDK were you playing domination on a hosted pc acting as a server? because thats why you could save, on a dedicated server you cant save.
Also one for Xeno, the SCUD launcher side mission is bugged, when destroyed nothing happens, or when destroyrd it sometimes says failed and never brings up a new side mission
I can't get artillery observer to call artillery with @ACE2 addons, was wondering why that was?
