Skeiz released an updated version of his armament modification for the KA-52 on the
BI forums.
This is now for Operation Arrowhead and requires Arma 2!
Quote Skeiz:
This modification changes the range of weapons and reconnaissance attack helicopter Ka-52. The purpose of this modification was adjustment of the balance in a network game. In standard configuration helicopter Ka-52 was too powerful, unparalleled helicopter which successfully fought the same way as with air and with ground targets.
Our modification eliminates the imbalance, bringing the characteristics of the weapons to be more realistic. In this case, the modification does not contain complex scripts and does not require any major adjustment.
Complex aircraft armament is divided between the two crew members. The operator - makes target acquisition using a laser marker, the pilot of launching ATGM "Vikhr" by laser designator.
Changes in version 1.2:Changed weapons:- Pilot
1) 10 ATGM "Vikhr" with guidance on a laser target designation.
2) 40 unguided air-launched rocket S8
- Operator
1) 30-mm 2A42 gun with 460 HE-shell
2) 2 ATGM "Vikhr" with autoguider for air and ground targets
The main problem is that the Vikhr missile has only a limited air to air capability, requiring line of sight (exposed helicopter), but taking its laser guidance from the helicopter, instead of riding the beam to the target (extremely hard to spoof). While capable of engaging aircraft at high speeds, it is not the most agile of missiles, consequently, they are usually fired in pairs. The missile needs fixing so that this reality is realized; it should have been fixed in Arma 1. For this reason, I do not allow it on our server; instead, we use the far more common (and less expensive to build/maintain) Mi-28.

Sounds great! Better with having to use laser on target (kinda like real deal) than TAB-fire. OA has countermeasures so this will definatelly create some interesting battles. :)
Good job.
cool heli dude :)
