Description: A 5.12km x 5.12km Terrain with a 5m Ground Resolution. County Leitrim contains a great variety of landscapes. High moor topped mountains in the north of the County rise above drumlin-covered lowlands, eskers and glens. Geological features shaped by glacial action are a distinctive feature. Many areas are noted for their scenic beauty and nature conservation value. (And particularly good trout & salmon fishing!) Leitrim, like other counties in Ireland, was subjected to total glaciation on a number of occasions. Glacial episodes have had a profound influence on the landscape, shaping the underlying geology and depositing massive volumes of drift. Little is known about earlier glacial episodes as all traces have been erased by subsequent glaciations. In Ireland the most recent glaciation is called the Midlandian Glaciation and occurred roughly 20,000 years ago. The ice extended across Leitrim from North, North East to South, South West... During glaciation, erosion was most severe on the higher summits and in the deeper valleys which were aligned parallel to the direction of the ice flow. The lowlands by contrast were mantled by a thick cover of stiff, clayey till deposited during a later stage of glaciation which was moulded into the form of small hills or drumlins. These drumlins are generally oval in plan however a broad range of shapes and sizes exists. The drumlins are orientated in the general direction of the ice flows and are a valuable indicator of glacial activity. Since the majority of soils display significant limitations to agriculture. Combined with the nature of landform, grassland agriculture has been the dominant land use within the County. In this synthetic landscape I've attempted to depict all these features within a small but coherent area. Installation: As we always recommend use modfolders to seperate the custom content from the official game content to prevent problems. For different ways to set up your modfolders and use them please visit our FAQ. When you are using the Steam version you can find a Steam mod installation and activation FAQ here. Add the mossions from the "Missions" folder to your local Missions / MPmissions folder as appropriate. Included .pbo files: carraigdubh.pbo carraigdubh_obj.pbo Included missions: Pretty terrains are all very well, but without missions to actually play they're just so much scenery... I'm therefore particularly grateful to the Mighty Wolle, who selflessly sacrificed his couple of days off this week to convert some classic missions for Carraigdubh:

Like that western europe style map with nice little details.
There“s not many available. My AI drivers partly have some trouble with walls close at the roadside and get light vehicles overturned, but I get that happen on i44 maps as well.
What short grass are you using?
Yes now i have a map to go with staglers IRA mod
hello, first of all thank you for this wonderful work.

Continue on this path. this is the first map I see this quality in the details.
Only regret the card is small.
We let you continue to influence the way you want.
thank you
Fantastic Island, great for PVP sniper or anything really, well earned 5***** rating. Here is another screenshot you might like!

Brilliant work, well done - and it's only the beta..... wow...
This is another brilliant Bushlurker creation, 5 stars. The AI driving problems as described by RockinHarry can be corrected by adding the "Driving AI fix" mod by Sakura_Chan (http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=6882) which significantly improves the AI driver's ability to stay on the road.
^ Thanks Scoob much needed (and of course thanks to Bushlurker for this fantastic map)
Yay at last, a map where I feel at home when wandering around - instead of feeling lost in some remote part of Crimea or Afghanistan.
I wonder what causes the funny lag I get tho? It's not anything Bushlurker has done wrong, it is definately something with my ArmA2. I get the same thing happen on some other user maps sometimes, and it also happens a lot when I play the game in the "Armory" mode. This map seems really prone to it though, it only starts after about 60 seconds - and gets worse the longer the current game runs.
It's a strange kind of "snatching" type lag, it isn't framerate related, the FPS always remains nice and smooth, but every second or two there seems to be a quick "slow down". Its most noticed when driving/flying at a nice steady speed - it's then these snatches are most noticeable - kinda feels like driving a car with a sputtering engine.
I'm suspecting it's one of the environment scripts/modules (eg ambient animals) that's doing it. I'll have to try and inspect the pbo file to see if I can tell what scripts are embedded in it. Shame, this is a lovely map and this damn quirk is pissing on it!!!!!
