1944, June the first, french resistance fighters heard during the french BBC programme the first verse of the poem "Chant d'Automne" from Paul Verlaine: "Les sanglots longs des violons de l'Automne"
That coded message, allthough adressed to a single resistance group, went down in history as the one anouncing the imminence of the landing operation in Nomandy, operation called "Overlord".
June the 5th at 9h25 PM, the following verse has been broadcasted, announcing the next morning allies landing:
"Bercent mon coeur d'une langueur monotone".
From then on, french resistance carried out numerous sabotage actions on railways, phone lines and put anti-tank mines on roads, to prepare the next morning landing...
1944, June 5th, 4h30 AM.
A supply convoy with ammunition, fuel and repair trucks is going to move from Saint-Laurent-sur-Mer to Colleville-sur-Mer.
As part of the french resistance sabotage actions to weaken the german defenses of the Normandy coast, your mission today is to ambush and stop convoy before it reaches armored units stationed in Colleville-sur-Mer.
Once done, your second objective will be to destroy air defenses in Saint-Laurent for Allied aircrafts to accomplish their missions safely.
Extract the .pbo file(s) to your ArmA2\Missions folder.
