Here is a new edition of the Armaholic video tutorials and guides news series in which we, on a weekly basis, feature a video tutorial or guide made by a community member.
This week we will cover some videos made by Lucky44
who introduces the viewer to the basics of editing and creating missions for Arma2. Today we post Episode 1 which consists of 2 parts.
Quote Lucky44 :
This is episode 1 of my series on how to use the mission editor. It's broken into 2 parts (creatively called Part 1 and Part 2) so it fits in YouTube's 10-minute limits.
In this video, you get baby-stepped from Zero to making a simple mission. Along the way you'll learn the basics of the editor menu, how to create and place units, how to use random spawn placement within a set radius, and a bit about unit formations.
The following videos (Episode's 2-4) will build on what we start here, adding more complicated features in a simple, step-by-step way.
And of course we have a new video by Oksman
who released a video showing the basics of flying.
Quote Oksman :
Arma 2 Flight School - [Basic] General Flying!
Here's a little guide on how to practice for flying online, make sure you learn how to handle the airframe before you go and crash online.
It's very important to learn how to fly in the game, that's why I made these videos, the flight tutorial/school is a stepping stone to something bigger. You start off in the editor, playing around easily landing, taking off basic handling, after that you start using unarmed targets and later armed targets.
Make sure you learn to fly in action before you jump onto a public server going nuts and blowing everything up.
Please like, subscribe and share to all the pilots who crash 'n burn!
We invite anyone who has made or has planned to make a video tutorial or guide to submit their videos which we will review and post about here in the news!
The tutorial or guide can cover any aspect of Arma 2
! That means it could be a video explaining all features of a certain addon or mod, a script or a gamemode or a video explaining the basics or specific elements of mission editing.
Video guides made to help mastering the game, for example flying or any other gameplay related aspect of the Arma series are very welcome to help add new as well as veteran players!
Any well made and well documented video can be submitted
and if this becomes a widely used and appreciated item we will also increase the frequency of these news items.
