A small 7 man team of Delta operators is sent to rescue an American journalist and bring him home.
The small island of Stratis was until recently untouched by the Iranian offensive in the greater Mediterranean. Strategically insignificant, the island has been mostly abandoned except for a small airbase and its outlying areas. However, the American journalist Kurt Shephard - NATO Codename Aristagoras - has been captured by rogue paramilitaries within the Revolutionary Guard. A statement from Basij Commander-in-chief Abdol-Ali Jafari reads: We have captured the cowardly, jew-loving American Kurt Shephard. He is a friend of the Great Satan, the United States, and has cooperated with the CIA in spreading zionist propaganda about the great Islamic Republic of Iran. If it were up to me, he would be killed immediately. But we must give this man a fair trial under Shari'a law where he will be tried for Waging War Against God (moharebeh) and Spreading Corruption on the Earth (mofsede-fel-arz), crimes punishable by death, crucifixion, amputation, or lifelong imprisonment, insh'Allah.
Credited with almost single-handedly documenting the atrocities of the Iranian military and consequently winning public support for the war within the US, the loss of Aristagoras would come as a crippling blow to the war effort. However, because the NATO coalition forces are stretched so thin and the mission is so politically risky, the top brass has ruled out the possibility of a strike force. Our small team of Delta operators is to infiltrate the compound and exfiltrate Aristagoras by any means necessary. After the snatch-and-grab, we will return the VIP to the US fleet to the northeast. UAV imaging shows Iranian Army reinforcements are on their way to the target compound. Time is of the essence.
When you play this, remember to bring the VIP to the northeast and not back to the airbase.
