Description: A few BlueFor units created to look like US Army soldiers. There are lots of weapons added that is currently in service. Like the M4 or the AT4 launcher. All weapons have good custom sounds to make it a bit more immersive. AV_IndUs = (AlexVestin, Independent uniforms, US soldiers) Installation: Extract into the ArmA 3 Directory, by default this is located in: 32-Bit - C:/Program Files/Steam/Steamapps/Common/ArmA 3/ 64-Bit - C:/Program Files (x86)/Steam/Steamapps/Common/ArmA 3/ After extraction it should look like this: Steam/Steamapps/Common/ArmA 3/@your_mod_folder_name You can also use the "Arma 3 Alpha" folder in your "My Documents" folder. Your folder setup could than look like for example this: mydocuments\Arma3 Alpha\@your_mod_folder_name\ mydocuments\Arma3 Alpha\@your_mod_folder_name\ mydocuments\Arma3 Alpha\@your_mod_folder_name\ When present place the "userconfig" folder into your game install folder, usually: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Arma 3". You may already have "userconfig" folder from other addons/mods in which case it is safe to merge the contents from this archive. You'll also need to add a Launch Parameter to Steam, in order to do so right-click on ArmA 3 Alpha and click Properties and then Set Launch Options. In the window that opens enter in -mod=@your_mod_folder_name For using multiple mods you would then do so like this: -mod=@mod_name;@mod_name2;@mod_name3;@mod_name4;@mod_name5 Note: You can also use -nosplash to get rid of the splash art and intro videos. And of course you can also enable and disable community made addons and mods through the in-game Options Expansions menu if you do not want to mess with startup parameters! When the above information still does not provide you with enough to learn how to install custom addons and mods you can always ask in our Guide On Installing Mods. Included files: AV_ESS.pbo av_indus.pbo av_weapons.pbo Usage: They are currently listed under NATO/"MEN (IndUs)". Classnames are available here. Known issues: Weapon animations are not done for all weapons. Uniforms with short sleeves have a weird shoulderpatch bug. Icons are only temporary. Probably all weapons need tweaking. M4 LODs are missing parts. AT4 has it's sight out when on back. AT4 is not disposable and working properly yet. It's weak too. Please let me know if you find something new. I think the marksman rifles a little underpowered, you should make it a m110.
hey alex i found a bug in the 1.4 version (foxhound needs to update it to 1.4) where the M16 has its muzzle flash above the gun/player also idk how to get the NVs
Addon:also appears to happen with the m4 aswell, and a heads up the AT4 needs some more power to it, it took like 5 hits to take down a BTR-K kamysh
Ok first off, those of you talking about ACU/UCP and Multicam. The US Army wants to be completely switched over to multicam by the middle of 2014, but it probably will not happen until 2015. It is NOT just SF that are wearing the MC. The MC is throughout the army on all levels, its just that there are some who haven't managed to get their uniforms due to shortage & logistics. Even the reserves are getting issued MC. It's just one of those deals. I'm not sure exactly how they're choosing who gets the ACU/UCP or the MC, but the US army is doing away with the ACU/UCP. In fact, I've read articles where there are talks of ALL branches of the US Military having the same patterns, but different types of gear, obviously suiting their branches/units designated role and individual MOS. hope this helped clear up some things.
So these units are modern, but on their way out. I still think you did a nice job AlexVestin. Keep up the good work. Oh and get rid of the M16.

Loving the 1.5 update but for some reason the scopes arnt appearing on the rifles
Its a good mods but where the Humvee ... And plz add more texture of your gun other its very nice soldier clothing very real marine soldier !!! ... 5/10

Where would I be able to find the class names for the weapons, vests, helmets, uniforms, ect. that this mod uses? I want to use them in my mission but I can find the class names to manually customize each soldier. It's a great mod by the way.
hey man, these units are great but in the future will there be groups so we don't have to put them down one at a time kinda takes too long.
I'm not seeing them under Nato men/indus.. am I doing something wrong?

Negative, multicam is issued to each soldier as soon as they arrive in Afghanistan. Even National Guardsmen that are deployed will be issued multicam uniforms, gear, and combat blouses. It's general issue only when deployed onto foreign land for combat intentions. However, everywhere else is UCP / ACU.
Yeah, please add groups!!! Also im not getting scopes on the rifles either
