Adjustable Full Screen Night Vision
by
xx-LSD-xx
Description:
Enables Full Screen view of the Night Vision Goggles with adjustable brightness.
This addon is client side only.
I only needed to edit a few lines of code to get it to work in ArmA3.
Features:
Adjustable Full screen night vision
Installation:
Extract into the ArmA 3 Directory, by default this is located in:
32-Bit - C:\Program Files\Steam/Steamapps\Common\ArmA 3\
64-Bit - C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam/Steamapps\Common\ArmA 3\
After extraction it should look like this:
Steam\Steamapps\Common\ArmA 3\@your_mod_folder_name\addons\
You can also use the "Arma 3 Alpha" folder in your "My Documents" folder. Your folder setup could than look like for example this:
mydocuments\Arma3 Alpha\@your_mod_folder_name1\addons\
mydocuments\Arma3 Alpha\@your_mod_folder_name2\addons\
mydocuments\Arma3 Alpha\@your_mod_folder_name2\addons\
When present place the "userconfig" folder into your game install folder, usually:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Arma 3".
You may already have "userconfig" folder from other addons and/or mods in which case it is safe to merge the contents from this archive.
You'll also need to add a Launch Parameter to Steam, in order to do so right-click on ArmA 3 Alpha and click Properties and then Set Launch Options. In the window that opens enter in -mod=@your_mod_folder_name
For using multiple mods you would then do so like this:
-mod=@mod_name;@mod_name2;@mod_name3;@mod_name4;@mod_name5
Note:
You can also use -nosplash to get rid of the splash art and intro videos.
And of course you can also enable and disable community made addons and mods through the in-game Options Expansions menu if you do not want to mess with startup parameters!
When the above information still does not provide you with enough to learn how to install custom addons and mods you can always ask in our
Guide On Installing Mods.

is it possible add the feature of enabling NV mode when using SOS scopes, the it drops off when you go to use the scope is a nightmare.
Sorry but I've been busy and have not monitored this page.
First I'll answer monkeylump. Yes it's possible and I believe someone has already made an addon or will. Hang in there
these things take time.
Second, Legolasindar, It's not the addon that needs adjustment it's your video settings in-game. Try adjusting them and if you still can't get it working P.M. me and I'll help you getting working.
Thank you both for your feedback.
this is excellent. Perfectly what I was looking for. Also thank you for putting it on playwithsix!
Why does this addon exchange the NVGoggles item for binoculars? Issues:
1. Breaks the IR mode of Jim's LR Binoculars
2. Breaks ALiVE as joining again you get plain BIS binoculars instead of the NVG ones.
Isn't it possible to just do the adjustable feature on the NVGs without shuffling around items? I don't want fullscreen NVGs anyway. Restricted FOV is how real NVGs are.
@Frederf "Quote" I don't want fullscreen NVGs anyway.
Then wtf are bitching about?
Binoculars are the parent class for the NVG's. Talk to a BI developer if you want that changed or learn how do it your self.
No one is forcing you to use it.
LSD thanks, any chance for a version just with the sensitivity adjustment?
@Variable
I guess I could release a version that just has the adjustment for sensitivity and no full screen feature.
Also I have found a work around for the Binoculars/Nvg glitch. I personally only ever had an issue where I was not able to use binoculars but always had the NVG's. Could not reproduce the issue Frederf was having. Might be the other addon he was using for IR capabilities IDK. I always use a laser range finder for my long range optics so this was never an issue for me. Nevertheless it was an issue for some so I fixed it. Just haven't released an update yet, Still testing and now I'm going to see about adding the option to turn Full screen and adjustable options on or off. Thanks for the Idea. I'll get back to you when I release it.
Hey great addon i like the fullscreen mode!
is there any possibility to use them on servers without the serverkey file?
or would this be some kind of cheating?
You can not use this addon on a server that does not have the server key installed with server params set to verify signatures = 2
if verify signitures are set to =0 then yes you can
please update,
not working on version 1.62
just updated this mod to work on version 1.62
