[TF]Nkey informed us he released an updated version of his
Task Force Arrowhead Radio on the
BI forums.
Changelog:
- Added CBA Settings implementation to replace userconfig.
- Added Teamspeak 3.1 support
- Teamspeak Plugins are now packed in a ts3_plugin installer.
- Fixed dead people could hear Zeus
- Fixed Bug where Teamspeak plugin wouldn't load.
Works much better than ACRE thank you.
This looks superb - good job !
have been plsing with it for several months now. The best for ARMA 3 and definently better than ACRE. Plus, still improving
Good mod there. tried it with my friend.
but i'd like to give some suggestion though.
for the long range radio, it seems that there is no radio sound effect yet. it sounds like direct speech.
and if we die, the radio is dropped automatically instead of remain in the body. would be better if the long range radio stayed with the body instead of what it does.
I found somethink out, too. You can hear the talk over the radio in 3D, means I can locate the direction of the person who try to talk.
Later I got a bigger problem, it seems that the radio change frequenz and volume on its on to standart values. -really anoying
"You can hear the talk over the radio in 3D, means I can locate the direction of the person who try to talk."
If person is close enough to you - you hear voice and radio at the same time, so yes it is possible to locate person. But if distance is more, than few meters - you will hear radio only (wihtou any 3d)

Not sure.. Can you describe problem in more details? Maybe you assidently changing channel by pressing NUMs?
I honestly cannot thank you enough for keeping this open-sourced and not locking it up!
Its an amazing mod and so far multiple clans, including mine are replacing ACRE with this :D
A few of us tested this out thoroughly last night and I have to say that this with out doubt rocks big time. I could never understand why ACRE had so many issues in Arma3 to the point where we were having to turn it off from our Tac nights. As of last night I have taken ACRE off for good and this is the replacement. OUTSTANDING!!!!
awesome job :) tried several times to get acre to work but yeah what a buggy piece of kit :( Then finally bumped into Task Force Radio and wow it just worked straight off the bat, no hassles. But I do have a question, where do you put the radio sounds folder? in the same folder as plugins? Because I am struggling to hear any radio effects. Just loved the acre effect after you finished speaking.
C:\Program Files\TeamSpeak 3 Client\plugins\radio-sounds
Yes, it is correct location. But check this:
1) It is recommended to disable the TeamSpeak built-in alert sounds: Options> Notifications> Sound Pack: "Sounds Deactivated". To use this option, restart TeamSpeak.
2) Make sure the volume of alerts is not turned off in Team Speak: Options > Payback > Sound Pack Volume - set a positive value. - this is volume of beep sounds

just a side comment - ACRE has never been released for A3 - so any implimentation would of course come with all normal caveats. Once you understand it's foibles it works fine in A3 - we've been using it on public and dedi servers; and fixing the issues we found since before A3 release.
Just to repeat - ACRE for A3 has not yet been officially released so whilst I'm in no way attached to the ACRE development team - it does seem a little unfair to compare a product developed for A3 and one developed for A2.
Just my 2c

were do i find the radio box form the editor for this? Plus everything seems to be working all but the radio transmiting. it ques up but nothing is making actulay go threw to make a radio message :/ Please help.
Oh,we're looking forward to the release of acre for a3. All we all are saying is that before this mod there have been only acre (unreleased, maybe). And mostly everyone was unhappy with its stability and lack of features. Again, competition is good, let there be more good radio mods.
For now, this mod is the best of existing!
We tested this mod yesterday with 15 players and works perfect!
THANKS for your hard work and efforts!!! Love this mod!
